Word on the street is October availability in the US...
I'm definitely eager for this one. I hope street pricing settles below $250 at launch, though... I think $150 is a stretch for the first few months. Some of these are likely to be hot commodities.

Same question-- if you can at least give us a preview of the ~$500 ish and under class watches that would help.

Re: Take Bolster’s Lume Survey Here!
Sorry I'm late to the party, but it's a good survey as far as it goes, because you kind of have to have multiples from a specific brand to get a taste for overall lume quality. I have multiple Seikos that range from Good to Best, and multiple VSA watches that range from "Acceptable-ish" to...

Yeah, the big C sucks. Badly. Take care of your wife, and speaking from experience, take care of yourself too. Best wishes for her and her recovery.

Re: Jaxa Wrench?
I have the cheap version, and it can be hard to set the prongs exactly. There's a lot of potential for scratching the case if they're not right. If they *are* right, then it's super easy to screw the case back off and on. I'm sure the name brand tools are better but $85 is just too much $$$ in my bo...

Re: Best Source for Watch Batteries?
Anyone in the western half of the country, Fry's stocks watch batteries typically with an excellent selection and very fair prices. That can be more convenient than ordering online and waiting for something to show up or being forced to buy a 4-pack or 10-pack or whatever when you really only need 1...

Re: E-Commerce Best and Worst Practices
When I sort by men's watches, I want to see men's watches. I'm not talking unisex stuff that's arguable, I'm talking pink rhinestone encrusted 25mm watches with flowers on the dial type stuff.

Jomashop is doing a sale for MLK day (any excuse, I guess?) I'm not sure any of this is earth shattering but I found a few that seem like good deals: Citizen Blue Angels Radio Controlled for $285, beating the all time lowest Amazon price by $10. street is closer to $400 https://www.jomashop.com/citi...

I feel bad for his failing health, but take exception to the Orient SK being referred to as "huge."

Just saw news that Google is buying some wearables tech and staffing from Fossil. Could a Pixel Watch be in the works? https://www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2019/1/17/18187026/google-fossil-group-smartwatch-sale-40-million-wear-os-android What is unclear here is whether or not they'll use the full ...

Re: Complaint of the Day
This. My comment that I'd prefer the mods explain when they take mod action rather than shadow editing stuff... was shadow edited. Yeah obviously there are things like spam that need to go 'poof', but after a considered and polite response they could have said "no" without taking words out...
