Rubber/Textile/Other Rubber strap for Cartier Santos Galbée

Hi all. I have a Cartier Santos Galbée Ref. 2961 that someone is asking me to find an alternative strap for. Re: Watch Photography Hacks

While I do use a regular camera mostly, I've found some success with using my iPhone 11pro camera, specifically on the 2x zoom lens. For some reason, it puts more emphasis on the subject of the pic and actually creates a a clear distinction between foreground and background. Below is an example, I a...

Re: What Defines A Swiss Made Watch?

The criterion is vaguely outlined here: https://www.ohselection.com/en/guides/industrie-horlogere/labels-certifications-horlogers/poincon-de-geneve/ As the article states, only a handful of com...

Re: Watch Magazines

While not a watch magazine per se, this book has been an incredible read. It talks about each major brand in detail and showcases each of the brands most popular/influential models. It's focused mostly on high horology. The book is called The Watch by Gene Stone. I was gifted this particular copy a ...

Re: Watch Magazines

Is there anyone here who's heard of/reads this: https://www.watches-news.com/ ?

I have only skimmed through the latest issue on their website. Looks like a great magazine. I'm waiting to hear back from them if there's a way to have it delivered to my door.

Re: Kerbedanz Maximus

One often sees the tourbillon in haute horlogerie , but never on a scale such as this. The aptly named Kerbedanz Maximus showcases an enormous version (27mm according to ABTW) of the renowned mechanism. The watch itself is built on proportions to match, measuring in at a hefty 49mm. The tourbillon ...

Re: CasiOAK conversions

There are many situations where I'd choose this over a Royal Oak. Even g-shocks on their own are just so cool, my first ever watch!
