As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

My father in law took this a few nights ago. Location is about an hour south of Big Sur on Highway 1. The glow is CalTrans working on Highway 1 in the fog and NEOWISE above the horizon. I think he grabbed an amazing shot.

Yes, it is. Him and my bro-in-law drove down the 1 until they got a good sky. There are a few fires and it's been pretty foggy so they had to drive pretty far. My father-in-law did photography on the side and my bro-in-law loves astronomy. It was perfect for them.

4 years ago. Zmax 4 wide nationals - standing on the starting line. And yes that’s Jesse James walking by as his funny car finished its burnout.

I’ve always wanted to try astrophotography so with a new moon and some PTO to burn I figured I’d get out of town and give it a shot. This is my first attempt, which I plan to re-edit on a real monitor when I get home but considering I have no clue what I’m doing I’m happy with how it turned out.
