Re: October Virtual Meetup
I'd like to toss out an idea for consideration in subsequent meetups.
In larger virtual meetings, I've had great success using Zoom breakout rooms. The "breakout rooms" feature allows the host to split a large meeting into smaller groups, for example 2-4 people each. This provides a less "crowded" setting for folks to interact, where otherwise it would have been difficult to engage in a conversation with a dozen or more people at once. This doesn't have to be an "either or" proposition. A meetup could start with everyone in the same place, break out into smaller rooms, and then rejoin the larger group.
It looks like Google Meet has this feature, but it may not be available to us depending on the type of account that's being used by the host.
If it's something we want to try next time and Google Meet doesn't allow for, perhaps we can consider a different provider.

Re: October Virtual Meetup
You could have a breakout room just for Inner Circle members.peskydonut wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 11:26 am I'd like to toss out an idea for consideration in subsequent meetups.

Not sure we've ever had enough people join in to justify a breakout room.

Re: October Virtual Meetup
I think that threshold varies from person to person. Personally, I tend to favor more direct interactions with a smaller group. Anything over 5 people, I fade into the background and just listen to others talk, which is also fun.TheJohnP wrote:Not sure we've ever had enough people join in to justify a breakout room.
We can leave it there. Looking forward to the next meetup!
