*FUNDRAISER* Wrist Check Monthly - Charity Watch Lottery on behalf of CLIC Sargent

Post by TheJohnP »

On Friday 5th February Wrist Check Monthly are kicking off our new charity lottery in aid of CLIC Sargent.
On March 26th WCM, with our media partners, Brad McCallister and Bryan Kotsch from Taking The Time, will be hosting a dual spin draw.
The first spin will determine what watch will be won and the second spin will choose the lucky winner.

About CLIC Sargent:

When cancer strikes young lives CLIC Sargent helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health.

Cancer doesn’t discriminate. Today, 12 more children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer. From diagnosis, CLIC Sargent’s specialist care teams will step in, ready to help, support and guide. They will provide a specialist package of support tailored to each young cancer patient and family.

CLIC Sargent fights tirelessly for children and young people with cancer, often when they feel they can’t. We do this individually, locally and nationally, so that they can focus on the important things, like getting well. And if the worst happens, we will work with bereaved families to get them support, to help them cope with their emotional pain.

About the Charity Watch Lottery:

£5 a ticket, donated through our JustGiving page, entrants will need to screenshot their payment and send it to us at info@wristcheckmonthly.com.

JustGiving page - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ ... k-monthly1

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

With 5 watches up for grabs (totaling nearly £1,700 worth of watches), instead of winner takes all, there will be 2 spins each draw.
First to pick the watch, second to pick the winner.
With each entry and watch being removed before the next spin.

Wrist Check Monthly will pay for worldwide shipping, so no matter where you are, you can get involved.

We have fantastic 5 watches in total up for grabs in this great line up.

The live drawing is tonight at midnight GMT/8:00pm EST at the following link:

The guys at Wrist Check Monthly also gave us a great shout-out in their lottery update email (emphasis mine):
Wrist Check Monthly Charity Watch Lottery Update wrote:Today is the day!

So the big lead up up is here, today our friends Brad and Bryan at Taking The Time will be hosting the Charity Watch Lottery live draws for us.

In the end we raised over £1,700. To give you an idea of how your brilliant fundraising could help, £1700 could cover the cost of a family to stay in one of the charities Homes from Home for almost 2 months, so they can stay near their child for free, whilst their child was seeing a specialist.

On behalf of Rich and myself, I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who purchased a ticket, we've got our fingers crossed for you. We would also like to thank Brad and Bryan for all of their help, support and hosting the the live draws this evening.

Thank you to all of our moderaters and members for posting, sharing and raising awareness about our fundraising event. Couldn't have done this without you guys and girls.

A special thanks has to go to the good people at manontime.com watch forum. Thank you Matt and John your members are great for getting involved, thank you! (If you haven't already, go join the forum, it's really informative and great fun over there!!)

And of course the 5 fantastically generous brands and their owners for donating their stunning watches to the cause!

So thank you very much:

Jared of the 220 Watch Co.;
Thank you Perry from Neminus Labs;
Thank you Albert from Albert Villa Timepieces;
Thank you Peter from Second Hour Watches;
And finally thank you to Andy and Mark from MAALS Watches.

You guys have been great and we really appreciate your donations, thank you.

You can watch the live draw tonight at midnight GMT or 8pm ET or 5pm PT. The link to their page is below, so please give The guys a follow and you'll be notified when they go live:

Once again thank you everyone for getting involved!!

Congrats to all the winners!

Follow up from Wrist Check Monthly:

As you will know we ran the lotto draws for the bundle of watches on Friday evening/night. Our media Partners Taking the Time ran the wheel spins and we watched in eager anticipation as the names were called out. I suspect many of you were watching and already know if you have won, if not, here are the winners of the watches, including a couple of special bonuses that we added in last minute for good measure:

Neminus Deadhead Logger – won by Georg Klampferer
Second Hour Gin Clear – won by Daniel Pelletier
Maals Jump over the Moon – won by Darren Kovler
220 Watch Company William Walker – won by Darren Kovler
Albert Villa Timepieces 1920s collection – won by Paul Murgatroyd
BONUS: Lancaster – won by Georg Klampferer
BONUS: Bronze Subscription for April – won by Brad McCallister

If you didn’t get a chance to watch it live, you can see the recording here:

Congratulations to all, thank you for your generous participation, together we raised £1735 for CLIC Sargent and we couldn’t be happier with the impact this can have on the lives of those affected by Cancer. To give some idea, this could fund a family for two months to stay in a home near their child who is undergoing treatment for cancer, for free.
