As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Same here. I found WUS because it was mentioned in a watch deal thread on Slickdeals.

I spent two agonizing days looking for something to spend my measly $26.42 on before the eBay bucks expire. Not wanting to "just buy something", I ended up with a 4-pack of Clorox wipes and a 6-pack of Kleenex tissues.

I'm currently in the same situation. I have $7 that I don't want to waste but also don't want to needlessly buy something lol.

Like I said, I went with consumable household items...that I could later pay myself back for ;) in watches. Otherwise, there's always spring bars.

I know some folks really dislike the "phantom" date position on a non-date dial watch.

Doesn't bother me.

In fact, I kind of think of it as the "on deck" position when getting ready to hack. Otherwise might just miss the 12 and have to wait for the second hand to come back around to try again.

When a watch you knew you had no intention of buying sells out, and yet you still feel a pang of regret.

So I got the chance to try on a few watches today, including some Grand Seikos and the "snowflake" sbga211 and the sbga001.

They wear alot bigger than I had imagine. Can't say I was sold on it.

The sbge245 was humongous!

Yet the Oris Aquis Date (43.5) felt good.

I'm conflicted.

For the last couple of months, I've been thinking that I'm probably maxed out on dive watches.

So naturally, in the last week, I've ordered both the blue and the black versions of the Citizen NY0040, because the deals were too good to pass up, and I've wanted one for a long time.

No, really, I can quit any time I want...

Tap. Talk. Buy a watch. Repeat.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on this. They are bigger AND thicker than I would have hoped. Thankfully(for me at least) the titanium makes them feel like they aren't even there once sized properly. I still blame the spring drive for hypnotizing me into a trance where everything just kinda went white, maybe even snowy, and I woke up with a GS on my wrist.

If they could fit it all in a SARB035 sized case that was 2mm slimmer, it would be a perfect watch.

I really enjoy food from Chipotle Mexican Grill and I have always had a substantial appetite. In fact, I once ate 3 of their massive burritos in one brief sitting just because somebody said I couldn't. I won the bet so they had to pay. That's not my TC though. I also prefer to stay fairly lean. So unless I'm getting boozy, I choose to eat my calories rather than drink them. That means I drink water with most of my meals. So at Chipotle, I usually just ask for a cup for water. Well the tab to press for water at Chipotle is always under the Minute Maid lemonade dispenser as seen below. And even though I mostly forego the sugary drinks, I like a little flavor and sweetness just like everyone else. So while my cup mostly gets filled with water, it's possible that an ounce or two or three of tasty lemonade goes into my cup as well. So now I'm finally confessing: In this manner, I've been stealing from Chipotle for years.

Have you considered entering Nathan's hot dog Coney Island eating contest? I'm sure you can give Joey Chestnut a run for the money.

That bittersweet feeling when you sell a watch that you never wear but always liked how it looked on wrist.
