Post a Picture of Your Pet

Post by MoT »

Here's Delia. A six-year-old female Maine Coon we got from a rescue about five years ago.

This is my favorite pic of her as it really highlights how green her eyes are:

Here she is this morning, doing one of the things she does best:

This is our Tova.
She's a black lab mix and about 12 years old.

Last week, she needed to get a tooth extracted, and thankfully has been recovering well.

This is her favorite spot, being in the sun on the patio.

Here is Cat face(what I call him) aka peanut (what she calls him). The first pic is when I found him living under my VW. I was going to take him to the shelter as I was not allowed to have pets where I was living, but he kinda grew on me. Since he lived mostly outside in a dogloo at the time, my landlord was cool with it.

Turns out, he is an awesome cat. You never know what you are going to get with a cat, but he comes when he is called and acts more doglike than any cat I have known. He can still be an A hole, and I have woken up to him playing with my toothbrush on more than one occasion. Needless to say, I have lots of backup toothbrushes now lol.

^^^ lol, he’s happy, that’s for sure.

Mark II GLI? I had an ‘85 GTI and a ‘92 GTI that was a race car. It was made in the last 6 months of the Mark II and was built in the new VW plant in Mexico to train people before the Mark III. It has a very rare tilt steering wheel, which didn’t come out officially until 1993 Mark III.

That's awesome! In the decade or so I spent on VWVortex, I never knew that about the tilt wheel. I knew all the rare parts like the CD holder and the digifizz cluster, but not that. Also, both of my GLIs are 1990s (with the 9a 2.0 16v) but have the small bumpers normally associated with the 1.8 16Vs. One of them came this way from the factory for sure as I went on the test drive with my dad when I was 3!

And yes, this cat face really lucked out and ended up under the right car. He lives a great life and now has loving parents. He also gets to wear watches, which I don't think many other cats get to do.

My 85 lb. Golden girl. She's possibly the best dog in the world, but I'm extremely biased. [emoji16]

This is my new favorite thread.

Here's another one of Tova sleeping with her tongue JUST sticking out.
It kills me how cute it looks.

Amos Van Johnson
Some sort of Brittany mix that we got from New England Brittany Rescue some 9 years ago. He is by far the best dog that has ever been a part of my family. Lots of walks for this one as he is a hunting/sporting dog type. I am up at 4:30 to walk him on weekdays which means that I need watches with solid lume (any excuse right?)

Satsuma Meriweather Ftizgrerald
A shelter cat from Corvallis, Oregon. She is something like 16 years old now. Moved by plane from Oregon to Boston, Massachusetts and she did not enjoy the trip one bit. She needed a bath that night and I ended up with a claw going straight into and out of my thumb.

Best thread ever. Deals thread is a close second I think[emoji6]

Beautiful cat. From the preview image in Tapatalk, it looked as if you were taking pictures of a butterfly. Took me a second to see the cat.
