Your cat still thinks the world would be a brighter place without you...but let's talk about that Star Wars wrapping paper :o.

My son took some dog food to the animal shelter again. The cutest little calico was on the other side of a glass and she wanted to rub her head on my son sooo bad! She was bumping her head into the glass, standing up, pawing...a really animated cat. My son asked about her and the lady said, "She only has one problem...she's a little bitey." "Bitey." I was this close to telling my wife about that cat because it looked like so much fun.

Mrs.MoTs work station is in our bedroom. She starts working at 7:00am and I will quite often wake up to the site of Delia peering at me from over the phone. She'll quickly look away when she sees I am awake. 😂

That paper is fun. I think we got it at Target right after Christmas last year when they put all the wrapping supplies on sale at 50% off.

"Bitey" would be a great name! Dealing with it, not so much. Poor cat, I'm sure it gets overlooked by most people.

Of all the comfortable places she has to pick from, she chooses some discarded tissue paper I haven't picked up to nap on.

The vet bill convo over in HUISABH makes me wonder if anyone has experience with pet insurance? I have a generally negative view, having watched at the vet's checkout counter while owner after owner was presented with a high bill because today's procedure wasn't covered under the insurance the clinic was pushing. But does anyone have a plan that actually covers everything you expect, and saves you money versus paying outright?

My cats have pre-existing conditions that account for the bulk of their medical expenses and would likely not be covered, but the pup is still young and healthy. Given his reputation for going gonzo at doggy daycare and jumping into the yard from the four-foot high deck bench, I suspect there will be some urgent care vet visits in our future.

Editing to pay the cat tax:

This guy is allergic to lots of things, including human dander. That's right, our cat is allergic to us.

Excellent question! I'd love to know the answer myself.

We took Delia in as she was having coughing/sneezing/gagging fits that have become more frequent. The vet is very confident that it is feline asthma, though we are waiting for blood workup and x-ray results.

So, we now are giving her pills (fun times! ) and going forward if there is contained prescription needs, it would be nice to have a method to lower the cost.

This was recorded Friday morning about an hour before going to the vet:

Her Mom was a Sphinx and I guess they tend to like to perch on shoulders. Not helpful when trying to work.

I picked her up today from the pound. I am happy she is settling in so quickly. She is very sweet but not sweet smelling — she really needs a bath. We haven’t named her yet.
