Re: Car Photos
Well that didn't take long!
2016 Ford Fusion Energi.
Absolutely loving the fuel mileage so far, and all the toys in it are nice as well.
50+mpg around town sure beats the heck out of the 15 or so with the old car.

Re: Car Photos
Congrats on the car and BIG congrats on joining the plug in club! I think you'll love it. If you have any questions about that aspect of the car I would be happy to help as much as I can.
I've not driven an Energi but I have driven a few Fusions and I was very impressed. They are good cars.
I wish that watch were 38mm?

Re: Car Photos
Great choice! The wife and I nearly bought one a few years back. It was my favorite, but she had her heart set on a Hyundai...also a great choice.

Daylight pic.
I'd like to tint the windows and maybe get some different wheels. Or at least a second set for winter tires.

Re: Car Photos
Congrats on the new ride! I have never been a Ford guy, but my ST has really won me over. That fusion is a really good looking car and a style that won't look dated down the road, and Ford has really improved their interiors in recent years.ManOnTime wrote:Daylight pic.

As far as wheels and tires go, one of my favorite things about where I live is that these are also my winter tires! (Just got them put on today, but not my pic). I would run whatever aftermarket wheels you get (as long as they are under like $500 a corner) as my winter wheels. OEM wheels are crazy expensive, so save them for the better weather.

Re: Car Photos
I have my eye on a few set of wheels. It's a "if the right deal comes along" kind of thing.
If not, I'll just get a decent set of all-seasons (Continental DWS06, probably). I've driven 20+ years on all-seasons, so it wouldn't be a problem.

Re: Car Photos
Street Machine Summer Nationals is this weekend, and it is one of the big summer car-related events that my friends and I attend. We're fortunate enough to be able to hang out with the crews from Continental Tire and Petty's Garage.
I've been nicknamed "Hired Gun" by that circle of friends as I am a bit of a hot shoe, and I always end up driving other people's cars. This is my ride for this weekend:
It's a 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T with a fair amount of modifications:

Re: Car Photos
Added window tint, and $17 Lumin-X tints to my fogs. Next up is smoked side marker lights. After that, tires that can handle fall and winter.

Re: Car Photos
My suggestion is Continental ExtremeContact DSW06. A lot of my car guy friends run them and have nothing but praise for them.
One even runs them in a 315 on the rear of his car, through our winters and has been impressed.

I am normally 100% Michelin, but I will look into those. Thanks for letting me know.ManOnTime wrote:My suggestion is Continental ExtremeContact DSW06. A lot of my car guy friends run them and have nothing but praise for them.

I think they’re 235/30/20. I have to go back in the civicx forum, but I think people can run up to 255/40 and not rub. These tires are like rubber bands. It’s only a matter of time before a rim is bent if I don’t get some more side wall.
