I went to the library to get a document notarized. I remarked to the librarian about her face mask, "Is that a dog?"

Her reply: "It's the Mona Lisa."

In college I worked at a private country club in the Pro Shop. Walked up to a customer from behind and said, "Is there anything I can help you with, mam?". HE turned around and said, "no thanks." I went to the back until he left. Dude had beautiful hair.

Mistake of [Satur]day:

I said to my grandson that after the replay of the Premier League match I was watching, I would take a nap until the hockey game came on at 7 PM.

"But it is 7 o'clock," he replied.

It turns out that I had been telling time off a desk clock that had stopped at 5:40.

(And I was reminded by him that I had a watch on my wrist!)

Sad. I see 57 men's watches and 130 women's watches on their site. Their ebay storefront here has many pre-owned listings.

FWIW, DiscountShop.com seems to have shut down. They would occasionally come out of the blue with some crazy discounted pricing. Sad to see them go.

So I canceled my credit card with Wells Fargo about 5 years ago, took my checking account to a credit union. I have had a debit card and used cash. Always had good credit.

Well recently I decided hey I'll use credit Karma see where I stand and oh no!!!! 670 (which is not good)

I went to the Credit Union and I was like what's going on? They looked at it and said I'm basically a ghost with no credit utilization. Can't have much of a credit score if you don't use it.

So, now I'm looking to open a credit card I don't need. To increase a credit score, I don't use. All on the off chance down the road I need it. Which won't be anytime soon.

Credit cards man, get one or else.

When I was 16 I worked at Walgreens.... and idiot that I am called this 50ish lady sir. Good Morning sir as she walked in.

She gave a tongue lashing and spent the next 30 minutes calling me miss. Today I wouldn't be but at that time I was very apologetic. She didn't buy anything but trashed the candy aisle yelled have a good day miss and left.

Today I know that creature was a Karen and I probably ruined her day.

Edit:

This just happened 😳 😆 🤣 😂

I make an effort to respect my mother's independence, so when a smartphone arrived here while she was living at her old place I didn't concern myself with it. Months later when she moved to Texas I learned she had accidentally selected my address when she bought it -- now she could finally upgrade her phone. After making the change, however, she was very unhappy. Fooling around with it I agreed it was extremely laggy, especially for a newish Samsung. So she starts looking into how to return it, only to learn: 1) she had bought it from a 3rd party on Target's platform -- she thought she was buying from Target, and: 2) the return window had closed. It wasn't very expensive, so I suggested she buy another phone: an iPhone from Apple. She said fine, and she gave me this Samsung. I am sensitive about privacy and security, so a smartphone from some rando 3rd party seller on Target is not my thing. And laggy out of the box -- kind of sus. I turned it off and stuck it somewhere. Today I pulled it out and the battery is at zero. I'm like: what'cha been doin' little fella?

If this poor guy followed MOT, he would know that he could buy this for $117.94 incl. free shipping from tictacarea (they have a couple other colorways in stock as well):

Cool. Didn't know they added new colorways beyond the original three GBD-200.
