It's really quite random...
My wife gave me a watch and I gave her a wallet. Or something. We also did rings, but these were just bonus fun. That said, I also bought myself an "engagement watch". I figured if she gets a rock, I get a watch!

Also, I got to choose my wedding band. Obviously I chose one with a brushed center and polished beveled edges to match my watches[emoji23]. Seriously though. That was my exact thought process.(pictured is my engagement present worn on my wedding day.)
It seems to me the car drove onto the median and ruptured its fuel tank causing the explosion. I have never had trouble in this tunnel.... because I don't hit blind curves at a high speed. This driver, who lost their life, should have taken care. The passenger was ejected from the vehicle, hit the ceiling of the tunnel and is being treated for severe burns.
Just sad all around but a reminder almost all traffic accidents can be prevented with a little common sense.

I used to do inpatient work with brain injured patients. Most of the <65yo TBI patients in the US sustained their injuries from car accidents. A colleague of mine once commented that anyone caught driving recklessly ought to be sentenced to doing community service on a brain injury unit so that they can get a good sense of some of the tragedies as a result of a car crash and maybe, just maybe, they might think about the potential impact of their reckless behavior on other people.

I drive that tunnel quite frequently. There is little margin for error, and I am honestly surprised accidents like this don't happen more often.
I'm also very glad they don't.

This one is in the spirit of peskydonut. After dinner we decided to go out as a family and get desert.
My son looked at the sky and said, "the sleepy clouds are coming." I asked what sleepy cloud are and he said, "they make the sky night and they make you sleepy so you have to go to sleep in your cozy little bed." I then asked why he thought that and he said, "they're blankets and they make you cozy."

Here's a pic of the fog coming in.
I love the way a child's mind works. They see parallels and metaphor without ever trying.
No one was hurt but property damage did occur. Sure would suck to face legal repercussions for this. Well your honor you see it was a a surprise... so I blew up 80 pounds of explosives. Yeah, maybe I should of went with 79 or even 1.
Not sure what possesses someone to pull this. Hey you guys hear Jim in sales nearly blew himself up and got locked up? Oh yeah, I guess the entire town did. Wow, that dude is so cool and popular. When he gets back I'm going to ask for his autograph, I bet TMZ will pay him for an interview!
