I still don't get the appeal of NFTs, but in May I forced myself to buy a Gary Vee "Vee Friend" token for 0.55 ETH (around $2900 total with gas at the time).

It's currently worth 9 ETH or $25,000.

Try new things, even if they don't make sense to you.

UPDATE: Now my NFT is worth about $31,000.

Anyone want to get in on a cheap low-risk NFT? This only works TODAY.

What does one do with 12 copies of a book, other than make an author and publisher very happy?

Christmas presents? Donate them? Sell them on eBay? I might send most of them back to Amazon to sell.

I just bought 20 NFTs. The books aren't the point.

I bought 5 of these yesterday for $365 each. They sold out of 25,000 in 40 minutes. They are currently worth $950 each.

This is all very, very stupid.

Honestly, this mindset is so common. I can't wrap my head around it.

"If you buy 12 books for $300, I will give you something worth $1000."
"But I don't want 12 books."
"Umm...You're missing the point."

BTW, I bought another 120 books before the deadline. Amazon doesn't charge until they ship in November, and I can always cancel if something disastrous happens.

My mindset = more books for you.

From how I wrap my head around it, Gary needs to sell a lot of books and found a very tempting carrot to do it.

But you're making $$$$$ and I'm not.
All good.

Today it's worth $60,000.

I sold one of my 5 bombs for $2000, which covers my original cost for all 5. The other 4 are worth about $2000 each.

Bought 5 of each core and 1 rare of DJ. The 1/1 has a bid of $19,500.

When you say they are worth $950, how do you know? Is there a market that tracks what someone is now willing to pay?

OpenSea is like the eBay of NFTs. The cheapest bomb available right now is a little over $1000. The value depends on the traits and how unique they are. Mine are a little more unique, so I'm guessing they would average about $2000 each. I just saw one very similar to one I have sell for $3000.

Here is the list of Vee Friends available. The cheapest one right now is $68,000.

Here's an inexpensive NFT to checkout. They currently cost around $300-350 total including the network gas fee.

Read the Discord. Checkout who is behind it, what they have done, their motivation, etc.

They were originally sold for "free" + gas fee, which means the developers have not made any money yet. They only make money when the tokens are sold on OpenSea, which means they want the value to be as high as possible. They even plan to refund people that paid high gas fees to mint the tokens.
