Hi Fellow watch collectors, i'm just putting this out there as i dont know what to do.
I'm having some issues with a new watch.
Image
this is how it was when i got it.
I sent an email listing the issues 4 odd days later Nothing, i then contacted the reseller and shock suddenly i get a oh that's not good please send to our watch repair center (not back to OC).
Now i live in Australia so posting the watch back to the USA at my expense is not ideal and very costly.
So i Email them back can i just send the watch head no box no bracelet again crickets, so pissed of even more now i lodge a PayPal issue with the reseller and again within hours i get a reply From OC we are sorry bla bla.

Issue 2 is they over listed the cost of the watch on shipping i paid 809usd around 1036 AUD they listed that i paid 1130.37AUD this ended up costing me 230AUD in import Duty. :x

At this point the watch is tainted and i have lost interest in it so do i
A send it back and hope these incompetent fools can fix it or
B cut my loss and return the hole lot.

Does any one else have any experience with OC in this regard.

thanks

No personal experience with Ocean Crawler. And can't recall reading any Seiko-esque QC issues from them. But your problems are obvious.

I would suggest just returning the watch for your money back if possible. If not, try for a repair and then flip it. It sounds like you've lost all interest in keeping this watch, so best option is to minimize your losses.

Curious, who was the reseller?

I would simply return it for refund.

I had a similar quality problem with a small German watch brand.

I simply returned it (at my expense) for a refund and moved on.
Just my $0.02 USD as always.
