FINKLE IS EINHORN. WATCHSAVINGS IS JOMASHOP!

There have been a few instances over the years in which I have been browsing watch retailers' online inventory and I've had one of these "Aha!" moments when I realized that two or more different websites actually belong to the very same company or retailer. I'm not talking about how a company like Certified Watch Store also has an ebay store that goes by more or less the same name. I'm talking about a company that has two or more distinct names (eg. Upscale Time = clearinghousesales). So I thought it might be helpful to make a list. Some of these are well-documented and others less so. If you know of any that should be added to the list, please comment below or message me and I'll add them. All of the names below contain a link. I don't know how many of these are out there but I'm sure there are some that I've missed here. Thanks.

Jomashop = Timepiece = World of Watches = The Watchery = WatchSavings on Amazon

Gemnation = sigmatime on eBay = Perfect Timing on Amazon

Upscale Time = clearinghousesales on eBay

Certified Watch Store = Flying Fashion on Amazon

Creation Watches = Down Under Watches = Zeta Watches

Sky Watches = Sports Watch Store = Shop-Online.Watch = ultimate-watches on ebay

Red Deer Watches = AUS Watches = NZ Watches

Bezali = Watchingo = watchingo on ebay = watchwave on ebay

Watches2U = Chris Elli

Watches & Beyond = Wrist Clocks

Tyme-Global = kriswatches on ebay

Ashford = watchgooroo on eBay = Discount Watch Store = Clock Wise on Amazon

officialwatchdeals on ebay = watcheshalfprice on ebay (different inventory but same company)

Jacob Time = watchgrabber on ebay

I don't know whether this fits in, but as I posted the other day, I received a watch from Glycine-direct (Ebay) which came in Ashford's distinctive shipping carton.

I don't know either. Ashford only recently started carrying Glycine and my theory is that Ashford and watchgooroo traded some inventory. Some on forums say that watchgooroo and glycine-direct are the same exact seller. I think most say that because watches from both sellers come with warranty cards stamped GSD Global Inc. But I've thought otherwise.....that watchgooroo is just an authorized dealer for Glycine but a separate entity. Maybe I'm wrong about that and glycine-direct are one and the same and they are being thrifty by using the packaging that Ashford shipped with the traded inventory. No idea really.....but my brain hurts. :? :geek:

FYI- Gemnation is also on Amazon as "Perfect Timing", they sometimes have better prices than the other options:

Thanks I just added it to the list. I have heard of Perfect Timing but didn't realize they were Gemnation. I just checked it out. It makes it easier to figure out when they have such unique brands in their inventory, like Gemnation does. Coincidentally, I noticed a while back that Overstock also carries a bunch of those same very unique brands but my guess is that somewhere along the line Gemnation unloaded some of their inventory to Overstock.

This is a pretty good resource, so I've made it a sticky.

I've purchased a few watches over the years from Overstock (though not in years) and they operated a little differently than other internet companies. Each time the watch came from another company and not from Overstock, for example, one package came from World of Watches in Florida and another came from a different company as well. I guess they're like a middle man for watches, not sure if they still operate like that.

Added another one. Bezali and Watchingo. There websites are not entirely similar, but their inventory and pictures are exactly the same and the prices on all of those watches are exactly the same as well. In addition, watchingo has an ebay seller account and and they appear to be the same entity as another ebay seller called watchwave. Their inventory mostly matches up.

Just added another pair to the list. Watches2U and Chris Elli. Basically the same except Chris Elli additionally sells sunglasses, jewelry, and other accessories. As far as watches go, they seem to carry the same inventory at the exact same prices. Very similar websites too.

Adding one more. TheJohnP recently posted a deal from a site I wasn't familiar with before, called Wristclocks. After looking at their site and inventory, it became very clear that it is the same as Watches and Beyond, a retailer I was familiar with that also happens to be a vendor on Walmart's site. And it turns out the companies share the same address and suite too. And when you're both selling the S.T. Dupont Defi Star Wars Palladium Ballpoint Pen Black Ink Medium Limited Edition 405811 at the exact same price, I think it's safe to say you might be the same company.
