Run or hide just for fun deals I find

Haha! I think B&N does this twice a year or so, but it's always wonderful when they do it.TheJohnP wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 10:45 ampdsf wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 10:23 am Barnes and Noble again offers 50% off all Criterion Collection DVDs. Am a big fan.

This jumped at me as I was shopping for frames. I have no experience trying to order from ikea online -- maybe this is in-store only? Probably select locations?

Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! NON watch items
Any Bitcoin/cryptocurrency dabblers here?
One of the things you get drilled into you from the get-go as you go down this rabbit hole is don't keep your cryptocurrency online in the exchanges where it's bought, sold and traded. However secure those sites may purport to be, hackers are always working to find ways to get in and get to your currency -- and because of the nature of crypto, there's not an awful lot you can do about it if they make off with your stash. Multiple, high-profile hacks of major sites have resulted in billions of dollars' worth of lost crypto.
To combat this, investors are encouraged to use cold-storage devices that allow you to transfer your Bitcoin, Ethereum or whatever cryptocurrency offline, into what's called a hardware wallet. It's sort of like a sophisticated stick drive. One of those main exchange sites online gets hacked? You don't lose any crypto, because your crypto isn't there. You move it on and offline through your hardware wallet, which you keep with you, or keep somewhere safe. Your hardware wallet gets lost or stolen? The encryption is so sophisticated, no one will be able to get in, and you'll have saved, hopefully in multiple, secure spots, some very complex pass codes to restore what you had.
One of the most modern, updated and recommended hardware wallets is the Ledger Nano X. But it's also one of the more expensive ones.
The company is currently running a Black Friday sale with 40% off the Nano X with coupon code 'blackfriday20' I just got one for $71 plus tax -- that's about the price of competitors running limited, 2014 technology, as opposed to this 2020 technology. It's a screaming deal. They want $118 on Amazon.

Rocket book is having a 25% off sale for Black Friday. I take lots of notes in my line of work and it's really nice to digitize everything and save paper notepads.

This is intriguing to me. It seems like the perfect solution for notes that are important for several months and then trash. Do you have to use the pilot frixon pens on these?Stretch44 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 8:26 am Rocket book is having a 25% off sale for Black Friday. Yes, you use the frixon. I use this for my hearing notes. So nice to not have a million yellow note pads. I just upload the notes after my hearing and put them the client folder. Then wipe with damp cloth and it's a new page.Boourns wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 10:35 amThis is intriguing to me.
