Amazon echo buds have shipped!

Edit: Now they're out for delivery! One day shipping!

Also, we now have actual reviews coming in. It seems you can disable Alexa if so desired.

I'm not expecting to see any computer/laptop deals on black Friday that beats what's available today

May I ask why? I'm not seeing anything special.

As for the Echo Buds..... these are based off hearing aids and it shows! Great at amplifying the voices around you in passthrough mode. Also, tends to amplify human voices in music. The equalizer is basic and can't address the issue.

I'd say for classical or edm (basically if a human voice is lacking) these are fine. Acceptable for podcasts as well. Can be iffy with audiobooks.

So, accepting the fact that some of these issues will be fixed or lessened with future updates should you buy? As a gift when these are on sale for $99 on black Friday.... yeah (unless you're gifting an audiophile or someone used to higher end equipment).

I'm unsure on keeping or returning at the moment.

Primarily because all my smart assistant devices are in Google's ecosystem and I like the idea of hands-free invocation rather than having to tap the dang thing like I do with my current earbuds.

Other than that:

Adaptive sound, an emphasis on sound quality (need more reviews or to try them myself), spatial vent (I normally don't like earbuds because of the "underwater" feeling while wearing them), live translation, etc.

As for a hyper-subjective reason, I used to sell Bose products. I'll never, ever purchase one, or a product designed in conjunction with or assisted by them.

I understand the ecosystem part (kind of like why apple people buy iPhones and Apple buds)

If I leave the Echo Buds (which I'm only considering for gym and walking around) I'd go with the
-->Sony Wf-1000xm3 (not good for the gym, running, walking apparently from reviews)
https://www.soundguys.com/sony-wf-1000xm3-review-25342/
Or
Master and Dynamic w07 (way cheaper than $300 now but poor app... cause no app and I have no experience with their products... and really poor battery life).
https://www.soundguys.com/master-dynami ... iew-20616/

Plus the Jabra Elite 65t: Most people seem to reccomend this but again I lack experience with the brand.

Bose Soundsport Free: Not worth the price, maybe at $100 or less.

Bose 500/700: Seem really cool but not for sale at the moment.

I don't dislike Bose (the soundsport free should be a cheap black Friday offering/culling) but I've never worked for them either.

Regardless, be sure to let us know how the Pixel Buds work out if/when you buy them.

I know I've mentioned Broadbent before.
But right now they have a sale with 10% off ALL ham, bacon, and sausage until 11/5.
They usually only do a few items on sale at a given time, so this promotion is good.

They're bacon is superb.
And ordering from them will help keep everyone LWDS compliant, right Dub Rubb?

Alright winter is coming. Not a mega deal but an okay price.

No history but compared to the other options it seems fair.
