I've been wearing the Haveston single-pass canvas straps for about a week now and overall I really enjoy them. They are definitely worth the $26/strap I paid. Sorry that I don't have detailed photos to back up each point; I did not originally intended to make this into a review.

Packaging
The presentation is excellent and shows a lot of attention to detail. Each strap comes neatly packaged in its own Altoids tin. Inside the box, the strap is wrapped in parchment paper and sealed with a "HAV" sticker. I ripped into the packaging like a rabid dog devouring its first meal in days, so unfortunately I don't have any photos to share.

Material and construction
The canvas feels sturdy without being rough. No break in is needed. The texture is soft (think nice canvas shirt), but not "slick" like a nylon seat belt NATO. It's about the same thickness as a belt loop on a pair of jeans. The only negative I have here, which honestly didn't bother me much, is that the stitching around the holes started to fray almost immediately. I just cut off the unraveled thread and moved on.

Hardware
The hardware is nicely finished; the buckle bares the unobtrusive "Hav" branding. At the time of purchase the brushed finish was not available in all color/size combinations, so I ended up with one brushed and one polished strap. In the photos below the green strap has brushed and the khaki has polished hardware.

Size
On my 6.75" wrist I'm using the 4th hole; this leaves 9 more for those with larger wrists. The excess strap loops back around just shy of connecting with the watch case. That's longer than a typical 2-piece strap, but not nearly as long as a standard NATO. Regardless, the floating keeper takes care of the tail wherever it happens to end.

Shipping
I received the straps about 12 days after placing my order. The shipment took less than 2 days to arrive to the US from the UK and then took another 7 days to make it through customs/USPS. Keep in mind this was over Christmas and New Years, so some USPS delay is entirely understandable.

Conclusion
Again, I am very happy with this purchase and will likely be buying more straps from Haveston. I'm particularly intrigued by their traditional double-pass NATOs, which are shorter and also have a floating keeper, thus eliminating the "NATO bun".

I concur wholeheartedly, have one of the same straps in grey and it's become one of my favorites. I also like their focus on military-heritage designs. Will probably buy more from this company.

Great review. This is 100% by far the best canvas strap I've ever used, and one of the very best NATO style straps too. It's so comfortable and rugged and well built, and the colorways are fantastic. I use the green one all the time.
