Show Off Your New Strap/Bracelet

Post by TheJohnP »

Yes, I know that there's the SOYNW thread - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17
But thought we should have a place to show off new straps and bracelets.

And I'll start it with a blue stingray strap I ordered over the holidays from a Vietnamese strapmaker, Trinh Le Mai
You can reach her via Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/trinhlemai.7strap

I picked this up $38.50 during a Black Friday sale, and I think it turned out quite nicely.
Going to try it on the Fuyugeshiki first and see how it goes.

Far and wide I will find 'em and I ride 'em
Bricks and mortar get my licks just for kicks
AD or authorized I don't analyze
Retail, wholesale never fail
Online or offline, I find I don't redefine
Too big to fail or yard sale they all hale
Run or hide just for fun deals I find

Almost missed this nice message from Trinh

And does look pretty sharp on the Seiko, if I say so myself.

Looks great! Stingray straps are underappreciated in my opinion, bit stiff but killer looks. Perhaps too fancy for many.

My new Marathon rubber strap with Citizen NY0040. I am quite satisfied with the combo.

Got a single pass strap from Luff Watch Straps for my gilt turtle. I like how it matches but the strap's a little thin for the watch head (a bit like perlon) and the eyelets are already starting to see wear after only a couple of uses.ImageImage

These are cheapest @ CNS (cheapestnatostraps) but CNS versions have slightly inferior hardware as they have a thinner tongue/prong and the hardware is almost straight (lacks curvature). Something to consider next time in case you wanted another.

I can confirm that these are also identical to the ones from aliexpress.

Thanks! I think that might be my default place to go going forward. I just wanted to try the style anyway.

I think their "sharktooth" weave is also supposed to be softer than the standard tudor-style weave.

I had a very similar nato, but from Aliexpress. Do you find the strap a bit too short? The material and the hardware of mine are okay, but it's short. After adjusted to max, its only barely acceptable. I have a normal wrist size.

I have a 7" wrist and you're right, it barely fits me ok. I have only made a tiny adjustment at the buckle for the end to be at the second keeper.

Some Martu Leather straps came in recently that I ordered for my Citizen Fugu divers.

Really soft quality leather at a great price!

This is what Fugu Fever looks like. I'm afraid you've got a bad case of it..... These look better than I would have thought on leather. I really like the green one. I come very close to buying it but then talk myself out of it about twice a month on average.

Hi All,
this week received these 2 straps in the photo below from CNS/Cheapest Nato Straps/CheapestNatoStraps
I asked them that according to their production/quality standard, in case of a Adjustable Single Pass Strap Barley (upper) how many holes must be made, and how far from the end of strap in mm the first and last hole must me made.
They responded quickly but never answered my question ...

"New" second hand Borealis vulcanised rubber strap on my SBDC053. I love the bracelet but I like this look and feel too in our warm tropics.Image
