Shades to match

Post by peskydonut »

I'm going to stretch the definition of "watch accessory" and toss out an idea...

I discovered Knockarounds a couple of years back and found them to be great value for the money. No, they're not high end, but for someone like myself who destroys or loses his sunglasses within a couple of months, at $15-40 these are way, way more fun than your standard gas station sunglasses.

If you're going to buy a pair, do look for a coupon. You can pick up a customized pair for < $40, pre-made ones for ~$25. I bought a couple a few years back and they had a promo for Earth Day where they tossed in a free pair of sunglasses (hilariously ironic).

Pair both with these shoes and you're good to go!

Okay, the blue and pink are both too far off. I tried...

These could work. Although blue still isn't quite right.
(And I own this pair...)

It wasn't very clear, but I was generally pitching the idea of pairing custom shades with say a dial or strap color. Not saying that everyone should look like Ronald McDonald, there are more subtle options.

I'd be down for some heavy, but sturdy, machined 316 SS shades lol.

Maybe this with a Bronze CW Trident? It's a good look.

I really hope you own and wear that top pair of shades. 8-) I ordered some Knockarounds a few years ago. Good enough quality for the money but I didn't love them. It's tough to know the best fit, size, shape, look when ordering sunglasses online so I just stick with gas station offerings. Matching your shades and watch never really crossed my mind until TAG Heuer came out with the tortoiseshell Aquaracer this year.
