I have looked all over the place for an easier way to take a bracelet off or put a bracelet on a watch head. I know they sell specific pliers and tweezers for the job, but to be honest, I'm reluctant to spend $75 or so on even a mediocre tool for this. Does anyone have any tips on a homemade method that works for them?
I have a number of spring bar tools, ranging from the freebies thrown in with a watch or band purchase to a nice Bergeron.
FYI, I am a proponent of the right tool for the job, I'm just wondering if anyone has any effective pro tips I can try before shelling out the money.
Also, I know I am being cheap and probably an idiot. Thanks!

Re: Best method for Bracelet instal/removal tool
I bought these from Amazon last year and they have treated me well so far. Seem to be high quality and the end pieces are adjustable and replaceable. It’s not cheap but it’s also not $75.
I have a tendency to first use my Bergeron 6767-SF and then pull these out if it gets dicey.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions about this tool.
