For those not in the know, the Royal Oak Selfwinding was designed by Gérald Genta for Audemars Piguet and the design hasn’t changed a whole lot since then. The newest model continues the tradition, boasting razor-sharp edges on the case and bracelet, a tapisserie dial, and an octagonal bezel reminiscent of the porthole on a ship.
One will notice a larger date window and a larger power reserve while admiring the crisp white dial, contrasted well with the white gold applied indices.
