Gavin Watch Co, by a Finnish watchmaker out of Australia, has launched their first campaign for their first model, the Alku automatic.

Kickstarter pricing is around $392
Regular price will be about $469

Estimated delivery is January 2021



The Alku will come in two colorways, white or black.
You can pick from four colors for the leather strap with options for three different lengths and a choice between a deployant or pin buckle.

Thanks, [mention]TheJohnP[/mention], for posting. At the risk of sounding cheesy, I think it's great to see gender diversity in watchmaking. The only other female watchmaker I know is Genesis from Germany, who produces beautiful pieces. https://www.genesis-uhren.de/home/

I think this watch would look really good in 36mm.

Agreed. Didn't make too much fuss about gender, as it shouldn't matter at the end of the end of the day.

If I had run across this while there was still Super Super Early Bird slots available, I likely would've jumped on it.
Still a good deal at the current price, I'm just a cheapskate. hahaha

Why didn't I try to buy this for $214 the first time around? Off my game I guess. Also I think I have a tendency to hesitate and think twice with these microbrands where I probably wouldn't with a similarly priced watch from a more established brand.

I wish I had found this campaign when the $214 was still available.
By the time I posted, it had sold through to the $357, which makes it harder to justify backing when you knew it was cheaper at one point.
