I think that I am in, too. Going to take a few days and think about black or green. I am interested in gilt either way but black seem like the safe bet. On the other hand I don't think that I have a green dial.

Yeah, I have black dials, but none gilt. The texture on the dial takes it up a notch as well. I figure that the black/gilt would get more wear than the other two options, so that is where I am going with it.

Interested to see if anyone else goes in for one of these.

I was absolutely planning on the blue dial MoT edition.
But since that's no longer an option, I am much more on the fence about it.

Still a great watch and a very decent price, but not something I feel I really need or have to have.
There's still time to change my mind or come up with some extra, throwaway $, so we'll see.

Minor differences from what I could determine.
V2 has more dial options, different movement, solid caseback, and a bracelet instead of straps.

I was absolutely planning on the blue dial MoT edition.
But since that's no longer an option, I am much more on the fence about it.

I totally understand. The MoT version was what got me interested, but the more I looked at it and learned about the company, the more I liked the watch.

It is a shame that this didn’t work out though since it is a watch that I genuinely like and isn’t way too big for me.

Thanks for the insight, [mention]TheJohnP[/mention]. I have to say that the V2 mostly feels like a downgrade. Bracelet on a field watch feels incongruous; the loss of display caseback really chafes; the movement is a sidegrsde but loses a lot of uniqueness and character for the buyer.

And the price increase.

I love the V1 so much. I want to buy one. But the V2 just gives up so much for the customer, I feel. A shame.

I love the V1 so much. I want to buy one. But the V2 just gives up so much for the customer, I feel. A shame.

The bracelet is easy to replace and looks to be a decent bracelet for the cost difference of $20. Straps are easy to change, and it is 20mm, so many likely have NATOs and possibly canvas. It is harder to get a bracelet for a watch after market, so I welcome the bracelet.

The display back was showing off the slightly decorated movement. That movement for version 1 took a year to get in, so it is mainly about availability. The solid caseback is more in line with a field watch and you can engrave it.

Some changes are bound to happen as a design evolves. Personally the big value added will be the in-house watch maker doing all of the assembly and I think that is where the $20 is going.

Display caseback on a field watch makes little sense, especially considering the movement isn't attractive. I personally hate the feeling of a caseback crystal on my skin as it feels extremely gritty... But I see your argument for wanting one.

I assume the bracelet can easily be resold to previous version 1 owners, barring any compatibility issues... An easy deduction of cost for minimal effort.
