SUCCESSFUL Kickstarter: Oso Watches - Orbit Chronograph
Upcoming Kickstarter campaign that I'm excited about!
Oso (https://osowatch.co/) is a Singapore company that is launching their first watch, the Orbit, a retro inspired chronograph in three color combinations, powered by the VK64 Meca-Quartz from Seiko.
Case back has a solar system / orbit motif
I really like the retro design and the space tie in and if the finish is anywhere near as good as their photos, should be a nice piece.
Kickstarter campaign kicks off in 4 days!
Early Bird Pricing is $220, believe retail is in the mid $300s

Re: PREORDER Kickstarter: Oso Watches - Orbit Chronograph
Picked one up at $200 which is great value for money I think. I'm well over huge watches so this seems great to me, intending to get the panda version.

Very nice looking watch. Love the caseback. I think I'm at my limit in terms of quartz / mecaquartz chronos now unfortunately, otherwise id be all over this! Nice find!

The blue is lovely with the gold or silver case but I also backed the Xeric regulator in gold/brass with blue option so I didn't want to double up on styles. It's easier to justify to the wife when you can say you don't have another one like this.
Re: PREORDER Kickstarter: Oso Watches - Orbit Chronograph
Finally caved and backed white/blue/gold. Too nice/unique to ignore.

If it wasn't for the case shape, I would be pretty tempted to break my KS rule...

Re: SUCCESSFUL Kickstarter: Oso Watches - Orbit Chronograph
I was a super early bird backer of the Oso Orbit. The watch shipped to me on March 18th, but never left the Memphis, TN Fedex hub after arriving there on March 26. After giving it a month, I contacted FedEx to ask what was going on and they told me that the box arrived empty in Memphis.
Somewhere along the way, the box fell apart or someone stole the watch. I contacted Oso today to ask what I should do. I have a bad feeling about what happens next, because FedEx is asking the vendor to fill out some sort of lost item form.
Preparing to receive poor customer service and a fight with Oso. Hope I'm wrong...

It certainly feels like I've seen more of these sort of "empty box" stories with FedEx than with any other parcel service. I have no idea why that would be, but it ain't good.
Re: SUCCESSFUL Kickstarter: Oso Watches - Orbit Chronograph
Great news! Oso watches had no problems sending me a replacement, and the evidence I provided was enough to help the vendor file a FedEx claim. I feel so bad for everyone involved (except Fedex...) but I'm very happy to have a replacement on the way.
BIG thumbs up for Oso Watches customer service!!!
