As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

The JW-EX has an in house movement that was used in their first model, the JW-01. From the description:

JW-EX watch is powered by an all-new skeleton developed movement called JW-7100, it is approved and loved by many JW-01 backers. JW-7100 functions with a frequency of 4Hz (28,800 A/h), 21 jewels, automatic winding, a sweep second movement, and “Caliber: 173” (173 parts). Functionally, the movement provides up to 80 hours (3 days+) of power-reserve via a single barrel system along with its effective bi-directional winding rotor. It will be difficult, if not impossible, to find a watch with such finely polished movement at this price.

This design is digging into me. The only thing that is bothering me is the skeletonized movement. It seems like one thing too much. I think it is the clash of the straight lines and the ornate skeleton bits are mismatched in a way that doesn’t quite do it for me.
I am glad for that as it is out of my price range.
With 8 days to go, this project is already fully funded.
I'll follow up with final numbers after the campaign closes.
