Christopher Ward AUD deal
I was late to jump on my own AUD Christopher Ward deal. When I eventually pulled the trigger on a black Dartmouth my charge sat pending for 3 days and then dropped off. Despite the AUD rising a little, this morning I purchased the watch again on a different credit card hoping that this time the order will go through. Unfortunately, this second attempt is still pending after a day and I'm afraid will eventually meet the same fate. I called Chase and they claim that the charge was approved on their end and that I need to contact CW to figure out what's going on.
I have two order numbers but not fulfillment. At this point the AUD exchange rate is far less favorable than it was when I initially posted the deal. It's a nice looking watch, but I'm not willing to purchase it for the 3rd time and pay north of $700. I'm just not comfortable spending that much. So what do I do now? Is there any way I can prod CW without ruining the potential of future deals?
I guess I can wait till they hit the second hand market or go on clearance.
Thanks!

EDIT: I know a few folks partook in the Christopher Ward AUD deal. Feel free to share your updates, questions, etc related to the deal here. I will be doing the same.

Re: Need on advice on Christopher Ward purchase
The charge for my second purchase attempt is still pending, but I just received a tracking number and a "your order has been dispatched" email.

I just got my tracking # as well.
Re: Christopher Ward AUD deal
Mine is due in Tuesday. I wish I would have known that my Capitol One card was no fee, I could have saved $20. At any rate, this will probably be the nicest watch in my collection. I’m extremely excited to get a look at the blue dial up close. I almost went with the Dartmouth but something about the 6 and 12 drew me in. I got it on bracelet as well.

Chase booked me at $600 on a $1007 Aussie purchase and it’s still pending but shipped.

I'm going to give this deceased equine one more swift kick...
If it wasn't for the 9 o'clock branding I'd be all over this watch. That dial is really lovely. I envy those that aren't bothered by the logo on the left.

Re: Christopher Ward AUD deal
I ordered the black Dartmouth on bracelet and it will be the most expensive watch in my collection. My comfort zone is generally $200-$400. This is meant to be a 10th anniversary watch, so it had some sponsorshipFranko wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 7:11 pm Mine is due in Tuesday. My card is still showing a pending charge for $689.05, but I did get a tracking number that claims the watch will be here on Tuesday.

Would 12 o’clock be better for the branding? It doesn’t really bother me.peskydonut wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 7:36 pmI'm going to give this deceased equine one more swift kick...

That’s a badass watch, I just didn’t want to go any higher. The price was a part of the deal too.

Yeah, the CW branding seems to be a hot topic. Personally, I like it best at 12, but that's just me.Franko wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 7:51 pmWould 12 o’clock be better for the branding? I would've really loved this one, but the cost was just prohibitive for me.

How did you like the old Chr Ward logo at 12?

Re: Christopher Ward AUD deal
You know, I think I like it better than the 9 logo, but less than the spelled out one at 12. The iteration on the Dartmouth is my favorite.Franko wrote:How did you like the old Chr Ward logo at 12?
That or just drop the spelled out branding in favor of the 12 o'clock flag logo.

What about CW? Every brand has their logo though.

Yeah, I think the Darthmouth styling is still my favorite.
