Could you guys tell me what type(?) or style(?) of watch these are?

Also, I guess I am looking to find a smaller <40 mm version of this type or style watch that is more affordable? Thank you in advance!
With the small second complication, maybe the 37mm Vario Trench with the black dial?
@Stretch44 can speak to the quality.

With code TRENCH8 it comes to $338.56

I love mine. Great quality for the price and it's a great design. @ watchpalooza has one and did a review, I think.

I own two now, one the smaller 37mm, the other the larger size in brass case. Both of mine are white, but the brass one is vintage lumed.

My only slight complaint is the rotor noise. Everything else from finishing and build quality to style / design is stellar.

I'd appreciate any help finding an ever better deal on a Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm. I'm specifically looking for the black dial on bracelet model, reference H69439131. The best price I can find at the moment is $388 shipped from World of Watches. I'd love to get closer to $350 all-in. But I have no idea if that’s even possible.

Also, I'm not interested in other models: not interested in the white dial version or those without a bracelet. Thanks!

You know you can always check Jomashop for the same stock, just gimmicky switched up and down prices? Same store.

I am looking for the Oris Sixty-Five Bico (01 733 7707 4355-07 8 20 17), so far the best deal I have found is from Watchmaxx but wondering if there might be cheaper somewhere else?

Might be worth reaching out to Komail at Time Machine Plus to see if he can match or beat the price to get one for you. Since they're an AD, if they can get close to the price, all the better.

And mention you're from the forum!

That is a tough one. I don't trust myself to select a watch a woman would like, especially a 17-y/o. But that's what makes it a challenge. :-)

Update: Browsing Ashford, this 33mm Wenger jumped out at me. IIRC it has a robez, and the GooRoo description agrees. Model 79112

Ashford: $95 - EXTREME = $80.75

GooRoo: $75.61 incl. free shipping and returns.

Certified appears to have it on their site for $70.99. Newsletter signup might get a code:

@TwoSecondsPerDay this one at My Gift Stop has been as low as around $100.

Currently $135 with their 10% off, but they do have a make offer button. Worth exploring if they'll go lower.

To me, "a little show" means bracelet, which could be a problem if the recipient doesn't know where or have the means to get it sized. An adjustable mesh bracelet could work (maybe type up instructions on how to adjust it if the watch doesn't come with them), like this:

A Calvin Klein quartz may not have many fans amongst enthusiasts, but it's a clean design that could go well with lots of outfits and has a name brand she's likely to recognize.

Citizen Eco-drives are a good choice, too. It would eliminate the need for battery changes in the future. Here's one with a mother of pearl dial:
