I wanted to go out and look. Unfortunately living in NYC, especially right now, really limited me to finding them. Really surprised me that trading cards are still lucrative.
I have some unopened Tops baseball card packs from 1987 sitting at my parents house. I don't know how as a kid I didn't open all of them.

NBA cards are insanely hot right now. Baseball cards are probably second most popular. A lot of good rookies the past couple years in both sports.

Everyone has 1987 Topps! They're worthless unless you get them graded.

The deck I carried around in college would now be worth $10,000!

Never got into Magic cards. Had a million Pokemon. Spent way too much money on those and the Japanese packs

Goodwill stores opened here today. Rejoice!

Update: Did even better than I thought. Spent $125 and should make over $500. It looks like they are only restocking while closed, so I'll have to go back in the morning.

OK, what did you pick up? That is cool that they aren’t restocking in the middle of the day. Makes it less of a crap shoot, but more of a mad dash to find the good stuff. I miss bargain hunting at thrift stores.

Well, that one item was $500 profit.

Dr. Marten boots for $7. Already sold for $50.

Keen sandals for $5. Sold for $30.

All-Clad Induction Burner NIB for $10. Value $150-200.

$300 Beer brewing kit for $20. Going to try to sell it locally for $150.

Radio Shack Race Radio Scanner $5. Sold for $50.

Teddy Ruxpin 2017 for $3. Sold for $35.

Today I found some rare 2010 Nike Air Jordans for $5. Value $75+

Several other small items worth $20-40 each.

The Burlington stores near me finally opened. Almost everything was an extra 50% off. I spent 3 hours in one store. That consisted of 1 hour shopping and 2 hours waiting in the checkout line. I can't even say they were doing a bad job, that's just how it was. Spent $500 on shoes. Should be able to make that much profit.

Drove to the other store, and there was at least an hour wait just to get it. Might go back in the morning.

You may force me to cross state lines to find an open goodwill or something. Though LI just got phase 2. Hmmm
