Christopher Ward C65 Blue Trident

Post by Franko »

The shipping on this watch was pretty quick considering Covid-19 gripping our world. Just wanted to post a few pictures and say that this watch is now the nicest watch in my collection. To me anyway, it exudes class, which I can use a little of being a “southern boy”. The logo doesn’t bother me at all and the presentation is extremely nice. I’ve set it to GMT and I’ll add information on the accuracy of the Sellita Sw210 later.

The presentation box is pretty nice with the wooden touch and the cleaning cloth with logo:

A few pics of the dial, the mix of polished and brushed stainless case. The play of the unique crystal is very interesting too look at. The way the light plays off the dial.

I didn’t get the super duper deal but at $600 plus $20 fee (which I now know to use Capital One card and I can avoid that fee), I’m extremely pleased with this watch. I do like the Dartmouth too but will have to add that watch at a later date.

So the Sellita movement must need some break in. Per the manual I wound 22 times and it only lasted 11 hours before it stopped. So this morning I wound it 40 times and we’ll see how long it lasts. After 12 hours it was 6 seconds fast which is in tolerance for this movement. Hopefully it gets better, any advise on winding is appreciated 🙏

I just usually wind up my modern hand winders until they don't wind anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I wish that watch were 38mm?

That's correct but don't force it at all... only wind it until you feel any resistance and then stop! Congrats, looks like you got a nice one on that deal!
