Deep Blue Watches released a line of full lume dials recently, and I placed an order for the Blue dial on a jubilee bracelet. (At the time of this writing the blue lumed dial is not available.) With the "BLUE" coupon code, it was a bargain at $199.20 vs the $322 list price. The Master 1000 series has the following specs:
- 44mm width, 51mm Lug to Lug, 15mm thick
- 1000FT/330M Water resistant
- 316L Stainless Steel Case
- Screw down crown and Screw Down Exhibition Case back
- Stainless Steel -120 Click unidirectional Bezel
- Caliber Seiko NH 35 Automatic Movement
- 21,600 VPH 24 Jewels with Date
- Sapphire Crystal, AR coated - Scratch resistant
- Superluminova Luminous Dial
- Helium Release valve 10 oclock position
The watch arrived today and was neatly packed in a padded, zippered case inside a cardboard box which was placed in a plastic bag.

Inside the zippered case, the watch was secured around a piece of foam and had all the usual plastics, save for the crystal. I don't think this is a big deal as the entire watch was inside a plastic wrapper.

As the specs would indicate, this watch is chunky. There is noticeable heft and first impressions in the hand show that the construction and finishing are very, very good. The bezel is crisp and has excellent action with little to no play/back-lash. It is 120 clicks and the alignment is spot on. A signed, screw-down crown operates smoothly with no grit. The same can be said about the helium release valve at 10:00. The color of the dial is a lovely matte teal, and the orange hands are a nice contrast.

The jubilee bracelet is constructed nicely and is comfortable. Solid links, solid end-links and a nicely finished, if a little thin, clasp. If I had one "complaint" it is that there are only three micro-adjustments and no diver's extension; nothing that couldn't be fixed with an aftermarket clasp if one so desires.

The lume does not disappoint! Taken after charging for about ten seconds under an LED lamp, it glows brightly and is very legible. I will try to charge it up tonight before bed and see how it fares in the morning.

Overall, at first blush, this is a very good watch that punches well above its price point. Especially with the 40% off coupons Deep Blue regularly have. I look forward to seeing how it holds up over the long term.
Thank you for reading!

Looks great! I came very close to pulling the trigger on the orange full lume on jubilee. You’ve made a great choice.

I'm fairly sure that it's aluminum.

I charged it for roughly one minute with my phone's flash (not the ideal method) at about 11:00 pm. At 6:00 am the dial and pip were still faintly glowing but the time was unreadable. I use reading glasses, and with them, the time could have been discernable with concentration.

I'm on the bubble. I really liked your review. I have been wanting a deep blue for a while. They seem like a huge bang for the buck - A fun auto to bang around. Were the hands still glowing this morning?

With my eyes I couldn't tell either way, to be honest.
