I guess I'll succumb to peer pressure. Might as well time some speed!

Bonus Cat Face compliance and a watch swap as I cut up some flap meat(carnivore compliance!) to make sirloin tips(impossible to find on this coast).

Two days in a row! Love seeing the movement on the speedy. Also your sirloin tips look delicious. I want some.

Was wearing something different for most of the day but switched to the BB. I find myself wearing this a lot a night. It's because the lume is so good.

Yes, I normally go at least once a year but have not been since 2019 . DC is one of my favorite cities, partially because I am history buff, but also because it isn't a huge city and I have been enough for it to feel like a very distant second home. We didn't have much (if any) extra time for sightseeing, but we did just enough for me to have an opinion that this may not be a bad time to go if the Smithsonian's and memorials are what you are interested in.Stretch44 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 11:04 pmLooks like you went to DC? I've never been and really want to go. I'd love to see all the memorials and the Smithsonian.Split-Time wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 7:19 pm I have been out of town for four days for work. The family went along, which was really nice. We managed to squeeze quite a bit of educational experiences in for our son, too
The city is almost dead, which was really really sad to me. The group that I work with has an office on Capitol Hill but almost everyone has been working remotely for nearly two years. A lot of restaurants are closed and the ones that are open only had a few people in them. All that to say that it may not be a bad time to be a tourist.
Union Station is normally bustling. I walked over because there is a Walgreens inside, and was shocked...

My other bud...Cooper and my Maranez Ti Bangla

I just saw that watch for the first time yesterday on their site. It’s really cool. Not a huge Cali dial fan, but of the ones I’ve seen, this one is definitely the best. I almost think Cali makes it better, but haven’t decided yet.WingNut wrote:My other bud...Cooper and my Maranez Ti Bangla
Have you tried their brass Doxa homages? They look really sharp at the price the charge, and are even cheaper on sale right now.
Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
This could be blasphemy, but I'm not a big Doxa fan...that being said the Ti Bangla blue fade cali is a sweet watch...I was going to save these for Mod Monday but here are a few more...with Kain Heritage blue shark strap and custom made bronze "knuckle" buckle...it's almost as wide as the watch...LOL

Forgot to post yesterday’s “two crown Thursday.”
And I couldn’t pass up Fridive with a big pot of soup. Hope everyone stays warm this weekend!

Started the day with the Seamaster but no pics. Actually had to go to an in person hearing... Ugh. Got home and switched to the vintage Hammy from grandpa. For the evening switched to the Oris 65. This watch is so good. We did a family movie night , which was fun.

I love that version of the divers 65. They really stayed true to the skin diver vibe. So much so that I homaged it into a 60s skin diver case!Stretch44 wrote:Started the day with the Seamaster but no pics. Actually had to go to an in person hearing... Ugh. And I went all Bond understrapped NATO today for FriDive. This is as close to a MilSub as I'll ever get.
