Help me identify this Cyma Navystar
Help me identify this Cyma Navystar
Hey, just wondering if this looks like an authentic piece. It contains the calibre r486 and the case back is blank (polished or just never having engravings.) The glaring factor is the missing applied C logo, but I'm not sure if that's normal for this reference. Any help is appreciated!

Re: Help me identify this Cyma Navystar
I wish I could be of more help but unfortunately I'm not too familiar with the brand. Any text or numbers inside the caseback? The applied C seems to be on nearly all other dials. I wonder if this could have been re-dialed somewhere along the way. Where did you find it?Locrian wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 3:12 am Screenshot_20190924-161511~2.png

Not familiar with this either.
Curious if the FLEX is meant to be italicized, while CYMA wasn't.
The one thing that makes me suspect a potential redial is that SWISS is a slightly smaller font weight than MADE. At least to my eyes.

After a quick search online, it seems the italicization is correct. I found only one example lacking the "C" logo, which was listed for sale on WristmenWatches.com. I have to say the dial looks remarkably clean for a vintage watch: the seller says it's the "refurbished original dial."
Here's the listing.
