The only watch I won't buy is the one I can't afford.

At least for now, I won't buy any brand that is over $1,000.
That's still my hard stop at looking/considering. And not sure that's a barrier that I'll be willing to go past.
Honestly, anything over $600 still makes me palpitate.

It just gets harder and harder to justify luxury watches when so many cheaper ones can do nearly everything right. Although I will admit I have my eye on some $4000+ ones just because they're so iconic. But those will wait until I have a steady income.

Never say never! I swore I would never own an Invicta too. But once I started modding, there really isnt a better watch to start with. Just get rid of all that invicta branding, and you have a great affordable mod base!

Stick with this. Once I crossed the $1K Mark, it made bigger purchases easier. And I can assure you that the dollar to value ratio is often not there. The best values in watches IMO are in the $500-$1000 range.

I don't regret my more expensive purchases, but they did help me realize that often times you can get 98% of the watch and drop a couple zeroes off the price with an affordable alternative.

C'mon, let's not judge the Steampunk cosplayers who want a Swiss made watch!

Nothing by makara/helgrey. Nadim is bad at running a watch brand.
Nothing by Panerai. They're overpriced and stupid.
Nothing by sea-gull bc of what they did to Chip of Aevig.

Rolexes are overpriced, but I can't say I'd never ever own a Rolex. Same with a lot of brands. No plans right now but I can't say I'd write them off.

It's really cheap right now but I've never even been able to get myself to even post it to the deals thread. I get that it's supposed to looks like a vintage GMT Master but it's a 3 hander so the bezel is useless as far as I can tell. Either make it a GMT or give it a 12 hour bezel to make it a little more useful.

Is it a 24-hour movement like Glycine Purist models?

That would make more sense but I don't think it is. This says Sellita SW200. I guess it is similar to the 3-handers that have a tachymeter/pulsometer/telemeter. Just for show.
