Yet again, completely original designs by Steinhart. I'm continually impressed by their dedication to the craft.

I know people fall on both sides of the fence when it comes to "homages." In this case, fans have been asking for a Tudor Sub reissue for quite some time and Tudor refuses to deliver so I have less of a problem with this "homage."

There is another Tudor Sub homage coming out this Friday for preorder. Zach(or Zachste over on WUS), the guy behind Cincy Strap Co. is releasing his first watch, the Nereus Santiago. He is a regular over in the BSH thread over on WUS and a generally cool guy. All the interactions I have had with him have been very positive.

This looks like a very faithful homage, and even has a kick ass roulette date wheel!

Pre-order pricing is $399 and includes one of his seat belt NATOs and a canvas strap along with the bracelet. Comes in black or blue dial, date or No date, and either 12 hour or traditional diver bezel. Oh, and look at those pillowy lume plots!

These three new waffle dial Seiko Prospex Sumo models can be found listed on a few retail sites already. I'm not sure why they are not yet on any Seiko websites (that I know of). Maybe later this week. I'll try to remember to update if I see alternative reference numbers for these. Specs are the same as other new Sumos......45mm with the 6R35 automatic movement and ISO 6425 certification. The WatchPro article below is calling them Seiko Prospex "Built for the Ice Diver" watches. It appears the full retail price will be $900. Pics from Carat & Co.

For me it is really exciting to see Croton revival. I always admired Crotons from mid 1900.
