Suggestions for a thin watch

Post by Stretch44 »

Hey all,

So I've been looking for a thin kinda dressy watch for a little bit. Don't mind automatic or hand winder, but not quartz. I'm also looking for 36mm to 40mm. I've been looking at the Junghans Maxbill and Chris Ward C5 Malvern 595. I love how thin the CW is but I would like a seconds hand. Any suggestions on other brands or model would be greatly appreciated!

I read the title and immediately thought of the CW. But you're right. No seconds hand would bug me

In a similar vein to the Junghans, there's this Junkers.
Slightly bigger and thicker, but still thin and classy.

Junkers Bauhaus series, # 6030-2
Case Diameter: 40 mm
Case Height: 9 mm

$610 at Clock Doctor

I think you should just man up and pick this thing up. Ya know, maybe sell your house or whatever.

Pfft! 41 mm is too big. Stay within my parameters! Just kidding, that is freaking impressive at 2 mm. I wonder how much it would sell for if they ever produce it.

Thanks for the suggestions TheJohnP, Dub Rubb, BTerry2233, Bbrou33. Now if I can just pull the trigger on something!

I really like the Montblanc but it's a little more than I want to spend. Same for the Epos and for some reason I don't like the logo. I had a Junkers 6050 last year that I got from Clock Doctor. Unfortunately the seconds hand wasn't placed correctly and scratched the inner crystal. I ended up returning it, so I'm a little hesitant on Junkers. You can see the scratch from the 45 to 55 and 10 to 20 markers.

I'm still leaning towards the Maxbill, but maybe the anthracite dial. Maybe I'll just scrap the thin dress watch and get a bronze diver... Haha too many watches!

Ok, I made my decision. I'm going with the Anthracite Max Bill 027/3401.00. Not as thin as I was originally going for, but I love the Bauhaus design and have been wanting a Junghans for awhile. Thanks for the help guys.

It looks like they forgot a dimension while making this watch.
