Re: Show Off Your New Watch
My Islander flieger showed up today from a deal I found last week. The strap got taken off immediately. Way too thick my my taste. The watch itself is exactly what I was looking for. It wears larger than 40mm thanks to the amount of dial, no logo, great lume. Send to be keeping better time than my other NH powered watch a Seiko 5.

Love the case shape and textured dial on this one. Generally a big fan of Nethuns for dive watches.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
And now for something completely different...
Yes, it's a $27 novelty watch from Amazon. I was intrigued by the design but, alas I will be returning it. Not because it's a cheap watch with a painted case (which it is) but because it's so darned hard to read. This may be the first time I've ever said this, but I wish this watch was bigger. You really need to be able to see the number and I find this one extremely hard to read. You can't just glance at it and tell the time but instead you have to go all "secret decoder ring" on it. I have average eyesight for someone approaching 60 but in anything other than bright sunlight I find myself squinting hard to read it. I think I'm going to send it back and pay 3X for the Bomberg that's on sale at Ashford right now.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
So I've always loved the NTH divers, specifically the white and blue. However some of the posts the owner has made on other forums have rubbed me the wrong way. So I kept on looking, and found out about this guy. SPB213. "Limited edition" of 6000. My first Prospex, first 6R movement. Loving it so far. The bezel goes from black to blue to greenish depending on the light.
