Landed one of those Zodiac Grandhydras from Watchstation that Klaatu3 posted about back in July. Mine came with a plain leather band so I rummaged around and found a bracelet I had from WatchGecko plus I ordered a parachute style band for it. Realy like it so far.

Lousy mobile photo, but the Marnaut Seascape I ordered off Kickstarter (my first watch from kickstarter) in January arrived. Thanks to @TheJohnP 's post for alerting me to it. I was taken by the design and while it has been delayed by Covid, I'm pretty pleased with it so far.

Likes: design, size, enamel finished dial, kickstarter price (think I got it at $280), 9015 movement
Dislikes: rotating bezel font, automatic over two lines, lume isn't fantastic, only triangle marker of bezel lumed

Overall still quite pleased with it. Came with an extra fine weave seatbelt nato with signed hardware, which is a nice touch. It came straight from HK (and I didn't have to pay tax on it), so it probably wasn't adjusted/regulated, and I wonder how the QC was done since the owner is Croatian. But still haven't been able to get it off my wrist this week.

I spent an exciting Saturday bidding on a nice Tissot Tissonic at an auction... only to get cold feet when the price hit 100e and folding. Someone got a deal on a beautiful hummer (or a huge headache).

So no tuning fork for me. But hey, at least my purchase from spring's Aliexpress sales arrived today


I have mad respect for whoever came up with the name Pagani Design. It's such a shameless rip-off that it's actually cool. Kind of like Tevise's classic perlative ceronometer was cool.
