Until I opened the box, I was fairly convinced this was going to be some other **** Time watch.
But here we are, I've got the Starlight now.

Result!

Such a great watch.

My one niggle was that I was fairly underwhelmed by the strap that came with mine.

Mine is the PR version, so not sure if the strap is different (though I also seem to recall there were 2 strap versions depending on where the watch came from - Japanese Market versions may have a had a different strap).

I struggled to find a strap that did the phenomenal dial justice, so if you find any, let me know!

I ended up with this combo, which I think works better than the plain black band:

The supplied rubber strap is very nice, but very long for me. So this Electric strap found a new mate:

Just my $0.02 USD as always.

Not “new” but “new to me” is tommy_boy’s Hoguld & Son’s Chronograph. I had and itch for a panda or reverse panda that needed to be scratched, but being pretty happy with my collection I did not want to spend a lot of money.

The watch arrived yesterday and I am blown away, especially considering the price. It looks fantastic in person. I own one mechanical chrono and a few quartz. This mecha-quartz is great. I see what all the fuss is about!

As it arrived:

But some of you know how I feel about the Forstner band!

Thanks Tommy Boy!

I have been under a rock so thank you for the heads up! You may have to help me out. Something other than a flatlink for Speedmasters?

Nah, I think you are out int he light enough  . Before I crawled under the rock I was aware that there suddenly where about to be 2-3 aftermarket flatlinks for Speedys. I am interested, but I haven't put the Forstner on my Speedmaster yet...so I may hold off.

Bought one of those Brooks Brothers Seikos that are currently under $200, and it arrived today:

Obviously the Golden Fleece logo can be weird for those not familiar with the brand, but this thing feels solid for the $. NH35 movement, domed mineral glass (assume Hardlex) — feels very much like part of the Presage line. Very similar dial/hand design to the Sarx035 “Baby GS” - so maybe this is the “Baby baby GS”?

Probably going to wind up returning it, as I’m trying to reduce my number of watches, but I did want to check it out.

Thanks, guys. Believe is a modified 7750.

For reference my wrist is 7.5". Wears small for its size with a shorter lug-to-lug and curved lug ends.
