This one has an iridescent blue dial from deep sky blue to dark, to shades in between and iridescent light streaks across the dial depending on the light. 41mm, 100m, no lume.

The Navy Pioneer series are 100m, per Hamilton.

Also, the Tudor 1926 series seems aimed right at this. Can find at $1500 new, maybe close to $1000 used. I have a BB36, but if I had been looking for something dressier I would have gotten one of these.

I've eyed up those Tudors myself. They're just barely at the upper limit of possibly affordable for me. As I recall they have the cursed 19mm lug width. But so does that killer Certina posted above. I may have to change my opinions on that.

Perhaps this fits the bill. As you probably saw on discord, I ordered a used Grand Seiko sbgf021 today:

- it's 37.5mm
- 200m water resistant with screw down crown
- Looks dressy enough (in my mind at least) if you want it to but also looks great on straps
- many brushed surfaces make it wear well in non dressy occasions
- can be found used around $1000
- comes in white, black, blue. The white and black dials are Tatami texture so at the right angle you see it otherwise it just looks plain gloss
- AR coated underneath the crystal
- LUME, normally lume is only found on the gmt and diver GS models (and a couple of the sporty 3 hands)
- accurate within 10s/year because it's an 8j56 thermocompensated quartz (technically better than the 9f movement that replaced it in many ways)

Of course it's not automatic, but I am a big quartz fan.

Not my pics:

And I found a picture of someone actually swimming with theirs

Someone mentioned it, the Longines Conquest. Close a deal, have drinks in the bar, jump into the sea with it. Could be the only watch you need, but then that would spoil all the fun here

39 x 11,5mm, 300m WR, great heritage brand.

$859 at Joma. On my wish list...
