Re: The Swiss Army Chronograph Gang
Last weekend, while on a road trip up the Central Coast, I hit nearly every TJM off the I5 and 101 between San Diego and Big Sur (my gf was quite the good sport about it, lol!) and came up with goose eggs...most of which carried zero watches whatsoever. I hit two of my "go to" stores in SD today (Sports Arena and San Ysidro), both of which had a few quartz Victorinox chronos (along with a bunch of Citizen, Invicta, MK, Movado, etc) and the San Ysidro location had a few titanium INOX . Appears the Airboss and Alpnach supplies might have dried up.
Re: The Swiss Army Chronograph Gang
I hit two stores today I hadn't ever been to in the north Dallas suburbs (Allen and Frisco). Allen had two titanium INOXes, and both stores had that red bezel quartz chrono. Allen also had like 5 red g shocks. No jackpot though.
I wish that watch were 38mm?
Re: The Swiss Army Chronograph Gang
Woohoo! Finally scored an Air Boss. Two dumb questions.
1. There is a mark on the band, like a light scratch. Is there any way to fix or minimize it?
2. The deployment clasp is really tight, like it's hard to open and close. Is that normal?
Thanks!
I think I figured the clasp out. I was trying to press on the buckle but found it clicks in place if I press just behind the buckle.

Try rubbing the scratch with a bit of warm water and your finger...often the waxy finish will redistribute and “self-heal” the leather.kl884347 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 5:18 pm Woohoo! Finally scored an Air Boss. Two dumb questions.

PS- The clasp is still a bit tricky but maybe it will just wear in.

Mine is quite tight too, but I prefer it that way.kl884347 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 12:22 pmOh man that did the trick!!! Thanks a ton! I actually bent it a little and had to straighten it because I got too aggressive with it.

BTW- Just wanted to say "THANK YOU!" to all you contributed to the latest TJMaxx deals. I never thought I would ever be able to afford a 7750 watch and thanks to this group I now have one! What an awesome group of enablers.
Re: The Swiss Army Chronograph Gang
I saw a Twitter thread of people telling stories about some time their dog found some random food in a bush, and then the dog checked that same bush every day for a year hoping to find more magic chicken nuggets or whatever. It made me think of us and TJ Maxx.

Re: The Swiss Army Chronograph Gang
So true man. I walked into one TJ Maxx and the lady at the jewelry counter said "Oh, you're the one who called the other day about Victorinox watches, right?"Boourns wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 1:22 pm I saw a Twitter thread of people telling stories about some time their dog found some random food in a bush, and then the dog checked that same bush every day for a year hoping to find more magic chicken nuggets or whatever.
