Davosa sent a watch literally into space

Post by WPybus »

I wasn’t sure if this had been posted so apologies if it has...

Davosa attached one of their argonautic watches to a helium balloon and sent it into space!!

I’m a sucker for a watch that has any reference to being able to survive adverse conditions, see Ball, and often see large costs for something that can survive low temps and high heat; to see that this survived its little trip and continues to keep time is amazing.

I’ve got one of these watches, cost £350, from eBay and am even more impressed!

So I’m guessing that most watches would probably survive a mission like this- unless Davosa know something we don’t and are under selling their brand!!?
