Orient's US distributor's pricing is so weird. Are they trying to move the relatively little known brand upmarket or do they just like a nice profit?nicegator wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 7:54 am New Orient Star. Looks are pretty, price is hilarious. I generally like Orient and will take it over Seiko any time, but here they try to go to GS territory.
Anyways, watch is nice, somewhat increased power reserve, 100 m WR, sapphire. Will consider it when it comes to CreationWatches .
From the email :
" Pearlescent Glory
We're excited to announce the latest addition to the Orient Star Moon Phase collection: two new colorways that don an exquisite mother of pearl dial in both white and green. The green model seen above is limited to 700 pieces worldwide and was created as a special 70th anniversary commemorative model. "

Agree. I think they did a good job with the numerals to make them as non-obtrusive as possible. The color schemes are really good, too.

Karaoke aside, that’s a good looking watch with nice dimensions. First time I’ve ever been tempted by that brand. Thanks for posting it.
Haha Direnzo should pay you for that...at the very least give you a watch!!!recapt wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 8:17 amDrivin’ around in your Jeep or your Benzo, or in your Nissan wearin’ a Direnzo.Ironman_KL wrote:Direnzo DRZ05 Solaris is on the way. I got this email too and first thing that came to mind was the strange location of the date window…I’d prefer either no date or date at 3 or 6 instead of the hour markers.nicegator wrote:I just like the simplicity of this one. And matching date window. Would consider it under $80 or so.

I haven't been this tempted by a watch in quite some time. Those lugs are sexah AF, BOR is awesome and the size seems perfect. Wow. That's a hell of a looker!Ironman_KL wrote:Direnzo DRZ05 Solaris is on the way. Early release 30th Oct. Dual crown 39mm watch, 47mm lug to lug and 12.5mm thick.
