November was an interesting month.

The SLA017 didnt get any wear because I had traded watches with a friend for the Hulk. Then I didn't wear the hulk much because its a 20k watch that I didnt feel comfortable wearing just in case I accidentally caused it harm.

The Certina got sold in anticipation of getting the Tornek Rayville TR660 in December.

With no new watches since mid-October, the honeymoon effect is waning and I'm getting back to lots of variety.

December's stats - the Zodiac is still a favorite. No surprise that the newest watches are also getting worn more (Mido and Oris), but still lots of variety. This month marked the first time I forgot to record what watch I wore and could not remember later.

Seiko dominated the brand count, but aside from the 7006 no Seiko was worn more than once.

I didn't start this year's tracking until February, so I'll wait and do a year-end wrap up after I have a year of data.

Alright I'm very excited that I remembered to do this for the whole month of January. I'd like to try to keep it up all 2022, we'll see!
I tracked the watch I put on first in the morning and wore the most during the day. I often change out a watch in the evening just for fun, or if I'm home I'll swap out during the day. I did not track those that I swapped out for.
A few immediate reactions on my part:

1. I really do like my variety. I wore every watch in my collection at least once.
2. My wearing habits seem to be mostly modern sports watches with regular but less frequent vintage/dress watch wear. If I'd have had to guess I probably would have thought I wore my dress and vintage watches a little more than the chart says. A small vintage watch on a leather strap is probably the most comfortable thing to wear for me in the winter, so when I'd swap out in the evening it was often for one of those. That's probably why they seem underrepresented.
3. I'm surprised how much I wore the HMT Pilot- I got a mesh bracelet with a proper clasp from Ali Express for it, and have really loved that combo.
4. Also a little surprised how much I wore the vintage Elgin. Some factors that led to me choosing it were probably that it's an heirloom (my late grandpa's), I got it back from service just a couple months ago, so it's still pretty new to the collection, and I found an absolutely stunning strap for it in that reddish brown croc from Ziczac. I found myself really turning to it for when I'd wear a dress watch.

That alone is very impressive!

January started out busy at the PO.

1. SOLD 4
2. BOUGHT 2
3. One additional still for sale
4. Didnt wear 1 watch at all this month?
5. Had a really cool loaner that took up time.
6. Sold the Tornek Raybvill in a fit of rage over business practices. I may regret that one day?
7. No more blue sunburst dials for me
8. No more digital watches for me
9. DO I really want to sell the SLA025? Hmmmm?

I think it has to do with the owner of the brand releasing the exact same watch with maybe one dial detail changed, under a different brand for less than half the price etc.

Thats basically it. Plank owners waited 18 months to get the watch. 1st Preorder waited 5 months. 2nd pre-order opened and sold out last week with delivery estimated to be anytime bewteeen 3 weeks and as long as August. Then he shows off his Mkii version which as mentioned was very very similar.....identical except for minor dial details, that was available for delievry within 3 weeks. This mkii version was cheaper but only $50 cheaper. It's still the spirit of the matter to me. I refuse to promote a business on my IG (i post lots of pics of my watches there) that has such poor business practices. Plus when he revealed the TR660 he NEVER mentioned he would release a MKii variant. The lack of transparency is insulting to the customer. The fanboys will stand behind him but I'm out. Lots of other watches to be had. It did allow for the arrival of the Damasko....for less $ than then TR660, so win-win I guess.

Wow. I've never really looked into MKII. All I know is the quality is there, but so is an extended wait time.

Shame he bungled launching TR by adding a variant to muddy the waters.

Build quality is very Sinn/Damasko/Stowa like if that means anything to your frame of reference. Just very solid....typical micros need not apply. The bead blast finishing is indistinguishable from Sinn. Its excellent. Not hardened steel or anyhing but seems to resists wear and tear very very well. he makes a good watch.

Alright I managed to remember to do this all February too! As with January, I only track the watch I put on in the morning and that got the most wear that day. I often swap out in the evening just for fun, and did not track those that I swapped for.
Observations:
1. The Certina left the collection a couple weeks ago and did not get any wear as a result.
2. Every watch in the collection was worn, and the wearing percentages are a little more evenly distributed this month.
3. The SS sports watches got the most wear again, but with healthy representation from the vintage collection, especially with the Ball Trainmaster. I wore it a good bit more while I was working on my article on it this month.

I too have been able to continue to track my watches for January and February. My criteria is if goes on the wrist for more than 10 mins I keep track. I'm kind of surprised at how much I wore the Tudor and how little the Rail master. I definitely have a core rotation.
