In addition to the new variants of the Retrospect (LINK HERE), Nodus watches is also adding some more variety to it's Contrail line of watches. The Nodus Contrail SS will feature a 12 hour stainless steel rotating bezel paired with either an Arctic White or Infinity Blue dial. These watches will be up on the Nodus site on 4/26 and the price will be $600. Also on 4/26, they will also be adding an Arctic White Contrail 39 and restocking some other variants of the Contrail that have previously sold out.

Swipe right to see the blue dial. Nodus is very active on IG. Stay tuned there for updates.

It seems like it's available for pre-order on their site but it doesn't actually let you choose anything. But it does look like you can pre-order it for $599 from this other site I never heard of.

Absolutely love that white tuxedo version of that watch. Fortunately, my wallet is saved by the fact that it is only 38mm.

Ha! Opposite for me. I was scrolling down thinking "This is cool but I bet they're gonna make it a 42mm dress watch like every other damn company." Pleasantly surprised to see what I consider a nice size for this type of watch. I hope we see more affordable watches with this movement too.

Same.
That super early bird pricing AND 38mm make this very, very tempting.

FORBES - From the Forbes article
the Federal Trade Commission guidelines are pretty clear on the “made in America” label: all of a watch – including the movement – needs to be manufactured completely in the United States and not just assembled there to be declared “made in America.” Timex is looking to avoid possible trouble with the FTC by putting “Swiss movt” on the dial, but my question is whether that is enough to satisfy the government agency.

If only they had used the Ameriquartz movement. Still wouldn’t be a $500 watch.

That wouldn't have been a bad idea actually. No, definitely not a $500 watch but in general I really like the direction Timex has been going and it's been fun to watch them in recent years.

Maybe the Ameriquartz movements are a direction Timex may go with if these turn out to be popular?
And honestly, there it could be the case that FTS might not have the scale to supply a Timex just yet.

Still kind of surprised that these watches can get away with "Made in the USA" even with the Swiss Movement caveat.

At $150 that Timex is a winner. Maybe even $200 because 'merica. But $500 is a tough pill.
I wish that watch were 38mm?

I think its a great looking watch, especially the white dial on leather. And I'm a sucker for a stainless steel bezel. I won't be buying one now but I'll probably set an alert for them a year from now when people start selling them. It's tough for me to justify this now for $600 when you can get a Glycine Airman Double 12 for $400 or less. I've never owned an NTH but I do like them and would definitely pull the trigger if I can find one at the right price.

Oris has come out with a two-tone or what they're calling "Bico" (short for bi-color) iteration of the Divers Sixty-Five. Previously there has been a version of the 65 with a bronze bezel only. And there was also the fully bronze Carl Brashear Limited Edition 65. However this new one sports a stainless steel case with a bronze bezel insert. It is available on leather or on a bracelet featuring bronze center links and stainless steel outer links. Oris reports the particular bronze alloy used here will develop only a light patina.

For the most part I like this one and find it interesting but I think I prefer the fully bronze Carl Brashear 65.
