Hi, I am in the hunt for an affordable dress watch that has design similar to the picture above. Looking for a decent quality below a $1000 budget.

Preferably sapphire glass and no second hands but not a necessity. (I don’t mind quartz especially if no hands)

Could you please help me? I need your expertise in watch knowledge. Thank you in advance for your time.

I owned one of these. Fantastic watch, and definitely dress. 5.95mm thick! You won't be disappointed.

If you don't mind arabics and can wait, check out the Hager Diplomat which are currently on preorder for $745.

@ManOnTime has some other Hager models in for review and can speak to their overall build quality. Pete's customer service is top notch in my book.

This looks pretty sweet for $140 if you think a dress watch can have a date and a second hand. (Of course it can).

lol I’ll wear my max bill with a suit and tie no problem. I’d probably even wear my C65 Trident.

I don't have any G-Shocks, but if I did, I'd wear them with suits and ties--and to hell with convention!

I know it’s different design but this 36mm Stowa manual wind might be the watch I am looking for with my budget.

Does anyone have experience with this watch?

You might want to check out Archimede watches at Watchmann.com. They're available at 15% discount.

Some are 9.8mm thick.

You could check out the Hamilton Jazzmaster Thinline collection on Ebay or Jomashop.

There are both quartz and automatics in the collection.

Thickness from 7mm to 8.45mm.

Some Joma prices are lower on their own website.
