That is beautiful. It also appears to be my size .ManOnTime wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 12:20 pm This is the oldest watch in my collection. I don't wear it very often, and when I do it's for a very short period.
It's an 11 jewel size 0s Illinois Model 2 made in 1907. It would have originally been a pocket watch, but it was converted a long time ago, judging by the age of the wristwatch case it's in.
I stumbled across this on eBay a few years ago and bought it for the local connection. Bullard Brothers Jewelers was located in St. Paul, operating from some time in the 1870s or 1880s until (as far as I have found) at least 1949. During that time they made a lot of different things, including a ceremonial silver trowel used in the construction of the current Minnesota State Capitol building.

I'm bad at taking pictures but I think it fits well. hard to find case design matching bracelet with the edges polished all the way to the clasp and the micro adjustments help fit it perfectly. better pictures on the website https://www.watchgecko.com/vintage-rive ... atch-strap . the gap between watch and case is also very narrow unlike stock picture on the site.

Likely to tear this one open to attempt a polarizer swap to a positive display.

Found this discounted to €35 this morning. This one is the 42mm version...they also had the 50, but it was just ridonkulously large. Have seen TW Steel watches often, but never this deeply discounted. Have to say the build quality is decent.
