I had previously sought an expert expert consultation regarding this luxurious timepiece. The expert confirmed with his Authorized Dealer that this is in fact a non-rotating bezel. However at some point I may see if the bezel can be popped off and modified to spin freely. Also, the case is brass rather than steel. Still should be a good buy for $7 though.

Is it just me, or is the part that I bolded code for @Wolfsatz or possibly @watchpalooza? I think the former would know as it is a Timex, and the latter just from his vast databank of watch knowledge.

Good grab at $7!
Those two are great gurus in their own right but are not my source. My particular consultant, which shall remain anonymous (for our purposes here today let's just call him AustinMarley), is quite knowledgeable with all manner of bargains and deals. And AM is an highly regarded expert on Timex, Casio, and other fine watches. Importantly, he has access to some of the most exclusive ADs for those brands. I may need to consider a retainer agreement with AM if he is willing.

Almost exactly a month ago, this showed as available on Amazon. Since then, the order page said they would call to schedule a delivery when ready. Which was odd, but sure.

Figured the order would be canceled eventually. But I got a notification it shipped today and my card was charged.

Still won't believe it until it actually shows up, but more hopeful now that I have the Starlight on the way.

Great pick-up (assuming it arrives!). I have the PR version and it is beautiful - such a cool dial. So much so that I nearly bought the three hander as well, and had a line on a good deal on one. I dithered though and missed out. Still sort of regret that.... [emoji848]

Total impulse buy. Great price to get a taste of Tissot. No risk here.

More vintage fun...

This one with a linen textured dial and a rose gold colored ETA 1120:

And this one a black dialed fixer-upper sporting an ETA 2783:

For fun I also grabbed this red Oris...may be garbage, but who knows...

Longines Les Grandes Classiques L4.685.4.76.2 from ebay. On the smaller side for me at 35.5mm. And if there is one particular period of time that I do not need a dress watch, it's now. But the price seemed right for an ETA 2895. I can quit anytime. 😬

All stainless steel (somewhat unusual for the time) from 1979. It has a pretty unique and interesting quartz movement that I'll explain when it comes in.

I'll be very interested to see pics when these arrive. I'm kind of considering one even though I have never had a digital watch since getting into watches.

Got this en route, a late night ebay impulse purchase- wish it was during the field watch challenge as this would have made a great contender at $23 shipped.
