Often wondered how a rubber strap would look on a field watch - I think that choice works really well.

seldom seen "pogue" variant with original bracelet, fingers crossed it only needs a new battery:

Always wanted a camel watch, this one is NOS and comes with the original tin can.
Re: Incoming! What have you got in the mail?
Great pick-up! I've wanted one of those for a long time!
I think I'd really enjoy seeing an overview thread of your collection.

Some leather natos…
Re: Incoming! What have you got in the mail?
I've spent the last few weeks travelling with the aptly-named Reise Resolute on my wrist. ("Reise" means "travel" or "journey" in German.)
This was the first Kickstarter from what is now RZE watches. The Resolute is a titanium tool/field watch.
Mine is the teal version. I picked it up after the Kickstarter because I dithered too long debating whether the watch was the right size for me and missed the window.
(All pics from the web, variety of sources.)
Long story short: I love this watch. It's light, clean, rugged, fits well and has become my "grab and go" piece in preference to other higher-end pieces. I've dropped it, bashed it, the kids have hung off it, the dog slobbered on it. It's been in the desert, sea, pool and rain. It hasn't missed a beat and doesn't have a scratch on it.
My only, very minor niggle is that the teal dial - which I love - doesn't scream "office". So....now I have one of these incoming:
It's the old version, which I prefer, with the wordmark "Reise" as opposed to the new, stylised RZE "R".
I'm disproportionately excited about getting it and will stick it on the (excellently made) RZE titanium bracelet.

Yup - it's such a fun watch and an unusual colour. I've really enjoyed having it on whilst travelling.TheJohnP wrote:Keeping the teal one too?baldrick wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 5:27 pm I've spent the last few weeks travelling with the aptly-named Reise Resolute on my wrist. Even if I wanted to sell it, there's no real second-hand market where I am and shipping costs are prohibitive, so I'd be stuck with it in any event!
