Should be here soon hopefully.
I have the 42mm and it’s a really well made watch. Can’t really say the same for the strap though.

Congratulations!

No, not the watch. But rather the strap. First time ordering from Toxic NATOs/Ute. A surprising number of items are out of stock including some that I might have bought. Maybe it's just been a successful sale. No 22mm skinny fats, no khaki Shiznits, etc. But I picked up a few NATOs. The charcoal ones come down to $11.20 with the code. Thanks to valuewatchguy for posting the sale.

 Oh man, you got me again yinzburgher! I looked at the username as soon as I saw the watch...then I started reading.

Proxima Soil/Earth in Grade 5 Titanium for about 290 USD ordered off Taobao. The burgundy dial is currently out of stock and should be restocked by the end of September, according to conversations with the owner. This means I should be receiving the watch by October, and I'll definitely write a short review on this forum then.

I'm personally not a fan of the recent addition of concentric circles around the day wheel for the red dial variant but figured I'd give it a shot, considering the value of a Grade 5 titanium case/bracelet and the uniqueness of a rich burgundy dial at this pricepoint. The picture below is photoshopped to illustrate the circles, using the old dial picture from WR Watches as reference.

Although technically a homage of the Marinemaster 300, I'd be hard-pressed to label it as such, since the only common feature would be the monobloc case of 44mm and 50mm lug-to-lug.

Bronze model with same dial/bezel:

Thanks, I'm pretty excited. Never thought I'd be able to get one of these. Hopefully I don't want the other two.

I blame TheJohnP and his August deals fast  . I most likely would not have found the Hesselbien's deal, which got me wanting this watch.

Somehow even when I'm not sharing deals, I'm still getting people to buy watches.

I'll probably learn a bit more about vintage watches by getting in the game rather than sitting on the sidelines. And it'll probably be a bit cheaper than the time I said that same thing about the stock market. This one came to about $19 on ebay. I don't know the size but I'm guessing 36mm-ish judging by the ruler, the date window location and some other Westclox examples. I don't know the 17 jewel movement either but I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out. It'll give me something to learn about. It's nothing fancy but it's not too ugly either and the right strap might do it a favor. The seller claims it runs and keeps good time. We'll see. 🤞
