As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

First post! I pulled the trigger on the Bulova Moonwatch deal that was posted Sunday. It will probably be a bit large for me, but it has been on my radar and the Speedy Pro is a grail watch for me. Thank you for finding and sharing deals!

1999 Timex chronograph, stainless case, miyota movement and only 38mm. From eBay.

Provided that the SLK arrived functional (with the addition of a battery of course) I think that my collection is in a good place aside from it being too large. That being the case, this may be my last purchase for myself for a while. We shall see.

Just pulled the trigger on a Junkers 6050-2. Thanks to FTE for finding me a great deal.

Glycine got me again. Probably a little steep for Quartz, but I absolutely love this look.

Glycine Airman World Traveler 42mm GMT

eBay seller - offered and accepted $400 minus eBay 10% buck minus TopCash 1.5% + $15 S/H = $369-ish.

I have been avoiding this thread since I am still staying strong with my WPAC commitment, but never thought to post the mod parts I have coming in! Here is what's in the works for just one of my mod projects.

Dagaz. The parts are absolutely top notch, but the customer service is garbage. All but one of my transactions have gone smoothly, but when he forgot to ship a bezel in my order of parts, things went South. You really just have to be a dick back to him. This was the first case where kindness and understanding got me nowhere.

After two weeks of my first email going unresponded to, I sent a follow up and got nothing. Sent another follow up and got a response along the lines of "if you cant give a small business a couple days to respond then I don't need you as a customer". Called him out about it being weeks, not days, told him there was no need to be so rude (maybe not that nicely) and that if I ran MY small business that way I wouldn't have any customers.

That said, the stuff he produces is good enough to risk having to deal with it, and I personally will continue to buy from him. Just a heads up. Out of probably 30 different parts bought from him, I only had the one bad experience.

In my experience, he doesn't give a crap about anything but taking your money. I ordered a crystal from him once. Made it to the US, but not to my house, and then the tracking showed it on the way back to him. He refused to respond to my inquiries, and I had to complain via PayPal for my refund.

I've been to his site before but never purchased anything from him. Thanks for the heads up. I just built my first watch, it's a pilot watch. I sourced the parts from helenarou and eBay. It was fun and looking forward to my next project. Post pics after you do you mods. Cheers!

I really like that look, too. Plus I am a fan of the old logo. I am a sucker for a GMT and that is really cool with the locking rotating bezel. Can't want to see pictures!

I too am trying not to buy anymore watches until next year.
But I will be modding!

Modding an Invicta 8927. Already threw on a double domed crystal.
Ordered the dial from Dagaz (luckily very smooth transaction and dial arrived yesterday)

Hands are from yobokies. Ordered 2 sets because not sure which I'll go with

Keeping the stock bezel insert for now. If anyone has any recs on good place to find bezel inserts for the 8927 or 8926 variants let me know! Ebay hasn't resulted in anything I want. Really looking to keep it Fifty Fathoms themed.

Anyway... That's what's in the mail!
